I will be a freshman at UT this fall and was wondering if there will be a decent place to watch the game on campus. I don't think that UT cable includes espn u, but I could be wrong. I am not a fan of watching games at food places; it's not a good game watching environment imo.

Thank you

Yeah, I came back from summer break this year to find that Krystal's and McCalister's Deli have both went out as well.

To the OP, They don't have ESPN U on campus, you can see the channel guide on UTK's website. I know in the past they have had viewing parties at certain places but I'll be across the river at Quarry Trail and your welcome to come.

What the hell. McCalister's is gone?! If cookout/chipotle are gone I'm going to kill myself. Also, best bet to watch the game on campus is to make friends with people in apartments. Apartments like Crowne...

Yeah, I showed up a few days ago and went down the strip and had to pull over to take in the fact that we are losing all our food places, before long we will have to drive down Kingston Pike to eat. Fortunately, Cookout and Chipotle are still there.

Yea... they have ESPN on campus, but not ESPNU. so unless you want to go to one of the food places (what few that are still remaining), then i'm not sure where else you can go.

Watch it at Cool Beans

Won't let you in under 21.

Since you'll have been a freshman for all of about 9 days, you're a little short on options. Try to make friends with sophomores/juniors in your classes who are more likely to live off campus or you'll have to suck it up and watch it at a restaurant or 18+ bar (the latter of which is the worst idea ever).

Make friends in your suite/dorm and walk over to Copper Cellar on Cumberland. It's pretty much your only option "on" the UT campus.

As a new Vol I would expect you to have traveled to the game. However if you are staying on campus I would not worry about anywhere on the Cumberland Strip. I would go to Buffalo Wild Wings or something similiar.
