No way it happens..its hard enough to get in and around that area without having back to back games..plus if you have a game that goes 7-8 overtime or have a power outage of any kind you will have a traffic nightmare..zero chance both games are on Sat.

a double header in the middle of downtown Atlanta? Sounds like a traffic disaster waiting to happen...

I looked up events at Ga Dome on that day and only UT and NCS are scheduled - who is the genius that is in charge of this fiasco ? :gun:

How exactly is this a fiasco? Games move. It's happened before. It is not a big deal.

Dude, the game is tomorrow, we don't have time for schematics. Oh hell, I hope we can get the bands out in time before the kick off of the clemson auburn game.

I sure to hell wish the game was tomorrow so I could avoid the next 8 months of NegaVol posts and talk radio calls. I'll walk to Atlanta tonight to avoid that.

It says Sept 1st no other date - it would be nice to plan ahead - when both fan bases need to travel to another state on a holiday weekend :ermm:

explain what exactly a DH is then ? lets see the Yankees have a DH vs the Red Sox one game on Friday and one game on Saturday - :question: Date of the artilcle is also 2010 and if they are both not the same day - whats SO special about it (as the article claims)

Also am reading almost all area hotels are already booked that weekend - cant be good news for fans :eek:hmy:

I just wish they would go ahead and decide already about it being either a DH or a thursday game. I am fortunate that this is just a 30-40 min drive for me. I wonder if I should get tickets as soon as they come out or wait a few months and try to get them cheaper off of craiglist, or something like that?

Wont be a Thursday game - South Carolina vs Vandy is already on ESPN as the opener - as for tix get them soon as they start selling them or stub hub - yet another reason neutral sites suck for a regualr season game - dimwit Hamilton should have scraped this game instead of the NC series

The South Carolina-Vandy game has no bearing on whether one of the CFA games will be played on Thursday.

USC-VU was announced as "on the ESPN family of networks" not as being the ESPN game. Remember that ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU had a total of five games that they showed on the opening Thursday night this season.

The games will NOT be on the same day in Atlanta. It is a doubleheader in that there will be two Kickoff Games, which has not previously been the case.

The only two times in history that hotel rooms throughout Atlanta have been sold out were the Olympics and their first Super Bowl, and there are over a million more rooms in the metro area now than there were for those two events.

Hotels within a mile of the stadium? Maybe. But "area hotels?" Give me a break.
