I remember we had similar situations on this board last year with other teams and we seen how that ended to. Pretty sad that our best win last year was Cincy.

I live outside of Raleigh. This fan base is delusional.... like, on acid delusional. They haven't won a major championship in ANY sport since 1983- Valvano's kids in basketball. The football team is 0fer playing on the road inside their division since TOB (Tom Obrien) took the reigns. We (outsiders needing some good humor) refer to it as "Crack Ride" vs. Pack Pride. Not only are they on crack or meth or acid, their behavior at a game makes UF fans look like Mormons.

Let's not get to far ahead of ourselves, but I do think when you compare apples to oranges we have a chance to win the game ! Everything looks good on paper, but it comes down to execution and"the want to". :hi: :yes:

wow i joined just for fun and it showed that they currently have 89 people online, 5 members, 84 guests and the most theyve ever had online is 489 lol huge huge fan base apparently, nearly the size of my elementary school.

I'll say they do have a small chance of winning this game but the way they're talking is really rediculous. They're extremely lucky this game isn't in Neyland, they've probably never played in front of 100,000+.....

Playing in Neyland hasnt been a plus for Tn in a long time.I dont think nobody is scared of Neyland anymore.It would be nice if they were.

I'm afraid the game is a toss up. We both have questions. And our strengths match up against their strengths. I think we do win, and wouldn't be surprised if we run them out of the dirty dome.

But NC State football has always been a joke. They are still living off the fumes of the Phillip Rivers glory year (or two) and Mario Williams being a stud. O'Brien made a lateral move from Boston College and is about the safest most boring hire they could have made. Not to mention they ran off one of the best college QBs last year because they thought they were too good to wait for him to decide if he wanted to play baseball or not.

I'm afraid they are the epitome of a delusional ACC athletic department/fanbase. That being said NC State and all the other mediocre football schools will only shut up and crawl back in their holes when we start playing like Tennessee again. Let's hope this is the year. Especially since I'll be sitting in the Georgia Dome on August 31st.

Wow, one dude says...."We won 8 games and yall won 5"......yeah, cuz if you played Bama, Florida, Georgia, Arkansas, SCarolina all in a row, you'd be just fine. They don't seem to grasp the massive difference in SOS.

As a GT fan too, married into a Vol family over twenty years ago, I can tell you this. We never worry about the NC State game. They are a marginal team at best. I expect UT to be better than marginal this year. Not a top ten team but better than NC State should be easy.

Because that's the last time we were healthy.. Last time we had an offense..
