'26 NC OT Jabian Shabazz (UNC commit)

Absolutely comical statement from his UNC bio:

"While at Tennessee, Friend developed two-time All-SEC first team lineman and eventual NFL draft pick Trey Smith. In 2019, Friend's unit featured an All-SEC First Team award winner in Smith and two SEC All-Freshman honorees in Wanya Morris and Darnell Wright."

He developed none of the three and arguably almost ruined the careers of Wanya Morris and Darnell Wright. Funny enough those are the only three players it names in his bio as NFL guys he developed.
Lol. I remember reading after Trey got drafted that scouts were surprised that he still had the tendency to look at the guy he was assigned to pre snap. They basically said he had no development in 4 years of college.

Yep. Darnell Wright began playing to his ranking his last year here, which I believe was Heupels 2nd year coaching.

I understand the NIL aspect of it. More money is more money. But if you have career aspirations of the NFL, UNC played horrid this past weekend. I get BB is a multi-time SB winner in the NFL, but he's not the same coach. And it's obvious. I'll be interested in how UNC plays the rest of the season.

They only play 1 ranked opponent this year. If you go 6-6 with this schedule and don't win big. You would go like 3-9 in the SEC

Why would any recruit think this could possibly be a good thing for them. Bill, what is you doing to these young men’s futures??
Really think it's up front money. A bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush. Most of these guys want make it to the NFL so there going take all they can get now. We'll find another project and save the money.
