Tennessee did a nice job over the weekend with 2026 defensive lineman Keshawn Stancil. Coach ‘Chop’ laid the groundwork to get him to campus, and the Vols offered after seeing the four-star DL in person. He will make the six-hour trip back to Knoxville this weekend as he is currently high on Tennessee in his recruitment.

From Rivals:

NC State is going to be one to watch for the 2026 high three-star defensive tackle from Clayton, N.C., along with Miami, Kentucky and Penn State but Tennessee could be surging in his recruitment after a recent visit.

Stancil was in Knoxville for the Vols’ win over Florida and he could return soon as he had a phenomenal time on that visit.

The Vols jumped in the race early for North Carolina DL KeShawn Stancil. They got him to campus twice in two weeks during the fall, and they have continued to do a nice job with the four-star defender. Coach Chop has led the charge here and has Tennessee firmly entrenched in this recruitment that continues to gain momentum.

As we mentioned in last week's War Room, Tennessee has done a nice job with four-star defensive lineman Keshawn Stancil. He told us as much again this week. The race is only intensifying here, and Penn State is another program prioritizing him. Stancil plans to return to Knoxville later this month to check out more of the program itself. Tennessee has turned the heat up with Chop, Rodney Garner, and Josh Heupel all making him feel like a priority.

Glad to see Stancil is a priority player in this 2026 class. Need these guys in the trenches up on Rocky Top. Hope to more of our NC kids jump in the boat soon.

I think it was something else. Don't know what but something more recent, I'd think preliminary discussions were had and everyone was happy enough to push forward. Something regarding him being a take or problems with grades, I don't know but something happened and I doubt it was $ amount, could be but hard to explain how we got right up to Official and he suddenly had a problem with $. He's a punk. Might be talented, but once he gets to Clemson...or wherever...he will end up being more trouble than he's worth.

We dodged a bullet with him. Wait and see. This is exactly the kind of player who divides a locker room.

Addition by subtraction. Potential NFL talent, "me first" mentality. We've seen first-hand how that works.

There's a 3-star out there who will outwork him, and over 4 years outplay him.

Go find that guy. This is UT football. Remember the '85 Sugar Vols, and the '98 NC team. We didn't have the best talent...

We had the best Team.

Go Vols.

Uhm….There were 23 future NFL players on that 1998 team.

Just cut that last paragraph graph out and you’re good 👍
