NBA Playoffs Thread

If you don’t think the debate is close then you’re stuck in the mid 90’s

Im stuck on reality.

LeBron isn't even really a better "all around" player that people try cling to as an argument.

When did he average 30 8 and 8? When did he average even 32ppg? When did he average 1.5 blocks? When did he average 2.5 let alone over 3 steals?

Add that to all that was poster above. It's not even close.

When did Jordan shoot 55% from the field? When did Jordan average 9 assists for a full year? When did Jordan average 8.5 rebounds per game? When did Jordan average 27/9/8 and shot 50% from the field? See I can pick random numbers too

He had one season where he put up 32.5/8/8 which is still incredible but he wasn’t doing that every year

True. He had more 30 6 and 6 season than LeBron.

When has LeBron put up an "all around" season as good as that? Never.

MJ also averaged 3 steal and a block that year. 2.9 .8.

Being two inches taller and 50 lbs heavier LBJ best rebounding year was .6 better than MJs best. Not a better rebounder. Even if anything.

Best assist year 1.1 better than MJ. More willing passer. Also just less aggressive on o. Also pace inflates assist numbers compared to the 90s. Advantage LBJ.

MJ best scoring year 7.1 better than LBJ. MJ Better hands down.

MJ best year in steals. 3.2 LBJ 2.2 . 10 seasons averaging 2 steals to 1. Advantage MJ.

MJ best year in blocks 1.6 to 1.1. MJ 5 years 1.0 or better 2 years 1.5 or better. LBJ 3 years 1.1 or 1. Advantage MJ.

MJ is the GOAT. No argument can be made otherwise.

Well Kareem is better than both of them. And a lot of your numbers are Jordan from the 80’s when the pace was tight around the same.

LeBron just put up 27/9/8 on 54% shooting and 37% from 3 on five attempts per game, that’s right up there with Jordan’s best season

32.5 8 8 with 3 steal and a block per game on 54% is better than 27 9 8 on 54%. No season LeBron has comes close.

Those weren't random. I was comparing their top all around seasons.

I hope with 2inches and 50 lbs he could average .6 more rebounds in his best rebounding year. :eek:lol:

Jordan also had three season where he basically missed the entire season and also had two seasons where he was below average while LeBron has been good for 15 straight seasons 🤔🤔🤔

Yeah must have been nice getting 23 shots a game and 10 FTA per game

I don't think that it is close. 5.5 less points. 1 more assist. Close in rebounds. LeBron was horrible on defense which is part of being an "all around " player. 1.5 less steals. Same blocks.

MJ went 30 5.5 /5.5 six times. LBJ once.

Also we’re comparing Jordan’s best all around season to LeBron’s age 33 season...lets take a look at age 33 Jordan

Bron: 27.5/8.6/9.1 shooting 54/37

Jordan: 29.6/6/4 shooting 48.6/37 (with a shorter three point line)

Plus Jordan played in a diluted league with a hell of a lot less miles than LeBron

You can definitely say Jordan had better numbers in their prime but at age 33 no question LeBron was a better player at age 33.

Below average when? When he was 38 and 39 ? Let's see what LBJ's career averages look like when he plays a few seasons after 37 years old like MJ or Kareem.

MJ missing seasons makes LBJ look even worse. He has had more years in his prime in the league and is not as half as accomplished.

I have no problem with people saying Jordan is better but trying to say there is no debate or you’re an idiot if you think Jordan is the GOAT and no one can can even challenge his majesty is silly and shortsighted

Not even half as accomplished LMAO alright I’m not even having this debate anymore if you’re gonna be like this.

Yeah, I still think it’s MJ but to act like it’s not a debate is crazy talk. He’s right there with him.

I think MJs best was better but, like you said earlier, LeBron is gonna do it longer. He’s gonna play 17-18 years at a high level.

I quit debating with these clowns a long time. It’s like arguing with a toddler.

And I even said last night I’m on the fence leaning MJ but to act like it isn’t worth discussing makes you look silly to those of us who didn’t bury our heads in the sand a decade ago.

I'm compared that year because the argument is usually the "all around" player argument. People say this is his best all around year.

LeBron had a better all around year statistically at 33 than Jordan. Points and rebounds at least. He was asked to do more. LBJ with his better rebounding and assist numbers wasn't even the best player in the league this year.

I don't think anyone really thinks LBJ had a better year at 33 than MJ when they were 69-13 and repeated as champs with a Finals MVP.

One it's not a debate.

Two I guess you think jumping team to team in the weakest conference and beating garbage teams is some great accomplishment. Getting to the Finals is great.Good for him.

He has only won with two other all star or hof players on his team.

Until this year. I don't think beating a team missing it's two all stars who's best players are a rookie and second year guy is all that great an accomplishment. If he wins the Finals that would be something.

MJ put out hall of famers each year. Who was the the team he beat with a couple hall of famers on it this year?

Did MJ ever lead a final series in Pts, reb, assists, steals, and blocks? Lebron did it against a team that broke the Bulls regular season win record

Wins over 50 win teams en route to Finals:
MJ - 20
LBJ - 11

82 game seasons
MJ - 9
LBJ - 1

All star teammates during their career
MJ - 6 (Scottie all 6 times)
LBJ - 14

MJ the only All-Star on his team 9 times
LBJ only All-star on his team 5 times

There's seriously like one or two people saying its not even close.

Thats it.

Stop being a ****ing drama queen.

That’s funny... I didn’t realize this was the only place this discussion has ever been had.
