NBA Playoffs Thread

Maybe JR will get suspended and Cleveland will actually play Osman

Loved Smart sticking up for the team. JR with some real dirty stuff there. What more can Lebron do? 42 points, shot great from deep, but the depth of the Celtics ending up winning.

Right because MJ, Kareem, and Kobe did everything by themselves?

He dropped 42 points tonight and it’s not even close.

You’re clearly just another hater who makes ridiculous comments like these.

No its not ridiculous, its facts. Sorry that facts defeat you.

I never said those guys did everythng themselves. But I often wonder, why did the talent come to those guys I listed but not Lebron?

Brad Stevens is a better coach than lebron and Danny Ainge is a better GM than lebron

Tired of hearing about his supporting cast like he didn’t hand pick all of it

Boston is down their two best players and still whoopin their ass

I’m not impressed. MJ would’ve scored 70 and had a quintuple double. Lebron’s just a bum. And he’ll be a bigger bum if he doesn’t waste away the remainder of his career on a terrible team.

If we're judging his play, then this is irrelevant.

If we're saying he has no room to complain, then it's a fair point except I would argue that just because he had a say doesn't mean he got the players he wanted. Pretty sure he wanted to keep Kyrie. They certainly have had limited offseason options with no cap space.

It's nice to see the Cavs getting their tails kicked, but unfortunately, this series is far from over. I expect Cleveland to win at home on Saturday and Monday.

Then again, I thought maybe they'd win tonight. lol.

Ayton and Bomba look like the surest things. I’m not as sold on Bagley being able to defend and develop his right hand

Cavs crunch time 5 were Lebron, Korver, Love, Smith, Green. I believe C's were running Smart, Rozier, Tatum, Brown, Horford. Is it any wonder they got crushed in those final minutes? They got no D.

Cleveland’s roster is too old and washed up to keep up with Celtics young players.

LeBron plays great D at times but it looks like he knew his team wasn’t going to be able to stop them so why bother?

If they just went Hill and Osman instead of Smith and Green, I think they'd substantially improve their chances.

And yet people want to hold it against him that he doesn’t want to waste away the remainder of his career in that situation.

Much like when you called this a sweep for the Cavs before the series started, I think you overract a bit much. A series doesn't really even start until the opposing team wins on the others court. Cavs could easily come out in 3 and 4 to bring this even.

Ty Lue vs Brad Stevens is the NBA coaching matchup version of Butch Jones vs Nick Saban.

Maybe LeBron shouldn't have set the roster up like that.

Forced Love for Wiggins trade.
Ran Kyrie off.
Got Thompson the huge contract.
Pushed to bring JR back.

Plus he doesn't make his teammates better. Name one player that was better with LeBron than on another team.
His teams sign people they think will be good. Then somehow they are magically a bad player now and he has no teammates.

Also Ty Lue is the coach because he was LeBron's preference.

LeBron wanted to keep Kyrie.

Kyrie wanted to carry a franchise on his shoulders & be the man. It was his own decision.

I don’t think Wiggins would have really made a difference even if the trade didn’t go down.

I do agree that his biggest mistake was pushing Tyron Lue to be the HC and giving Thompson a huge contract.

At this point of his career, his best option is to join a group of young players like the Lakers or even Philadelphia to help them grow. If he wants rings, he’ll have no choice but to join the Rockets or Warriors.

He’s already brought Cleveland their first Championship. He doesn’t owe that city anything else.

I didn't say he didn't want to keep Kyrie. I said he ran him off. He did. Many players don't want to play with him. That is on LeBron.

You saw the team's bad attitude last night. It starts at the top with LeBron and his crying about everything and teammate blaming.

The coach and roster is on LeBron. I don't want to hear about teammates or coaching he chose.

He always runs to a team so he can get the advantage. He can build a team around him and win one. I expect him to try to do it again.

He still won't beat the Warriors. He knows better than going to the West. He will be in Philly or something.

Love for Wiggins was a good trade. Wiggins isn't good and he's even worse when you try to fit him in with other stars.

Kyrie ran himself off.

They don't win the title without Thompson, so not sure you can fault that move. He's still good, they just don't play him much and I don't think you can fault Lebron for that.

Smith was a bad move.

Lue was a bad move.

What players don't want to play with Lebron? All I know of for sure is Kyrie, and that was all about being in his shadow. That's not on Lebron.

LeBron put up 40+ and had a Triple Double, still lost... so his teammates doesn’t deserve criticism whatsoever? It’s his fault that his team was playing bad? If he’s not on the floor, the Cavs are not even in the Playoffs. Period!

At some point, his teammates will have to step up.

Like I said, if he wants rings, the Rockets or the Warriors is his best bet.

If he wants to pull a KD and join a team that he can’t beat then that’s his only option because nobody is going to beat the Warriors the next 3-5 years.

But you best believe his legacy will be tarnished and will be the most hated man on this planet if he pulls that move.
