and I was just following up from the argument that fouling to try and win ball games is a pathetic move. If Shaq is in the game, foul him. You save time and at worst, he makes one of the FTs.

That doesn't matter at all. It's still the same sport and both Memphis and Pheonix had the same issue. Kansas and San Antonio were smart to take advantage of it.

Maybe Phoenix' coach should've had Shaq out of the game like BP said and then the strategy changes doesn't it? Not to mention Memphis' was shooting over 70% as a team in the tournament until the last game.

the point remains. Fouling to get back into ballgames has proven much more effective than letting the other team waste 24/35 (depending on level) seconds and still possibly score.

And as was brought up during the Memphis/Kansas issue, it may not be the most exciting part of the game, but it's been part of the game for as long as I know.

Not with the way Boston is defending him. He's getting double teamed 30 feet from the basket at times.
