Yes, you were

As intellectually inept as you are, you'll more than likely take it as you'd like. Pointing out that Denver is the worst defensive team remaining in the playoff field had nothing to do with Phoenix's or Dallas' inadequacies. It's nice to see the ole T-Rev revert back to his former state of incompetence.

What does Denver's terrible defense have to do with Phoenix?

Let's try this again.

Gutsy effort by Houston. San Antonio rarely makes personnel mistakes. They certainly made a big one when they gave up on Luis Scola.

Hat who is your pick to win it? Are you tired of th Celtics hype as am I?
As I said in another thread, my greatest weakness as a prognosticator is my occasional propensity to stick a year too long with an aging team. That said, I'm going with San Antonio and Detroit in the Finals.

They have been there so many times and are very composed teams. I think the Celts are more prone to swings in games that veteran players on Spurs and Pistons ignore. Celts are still new to each other.

from another thread:

This Detroit group is going to go down just like The Bad Boys did. They're suddenly going to wake up one morning and be old and awful. Might happen in '08-'09, might happen the next season. It is going to happen, and soon.

is it happening in the 2008 playoffs? I rarely watch the NBA, but the Pistons looked absolutely awful tonight.

I can't think of a more deserving guy to potentially eliminate Detroit than Maurice Cheeks. He's a great guy

Watching NBA playoff games shows just how much more homecourt advantage matters in the NBA than other sports.

I must disagree. The NFL has the biggest advantage in the playoffs. Look how often the NFL chalk advances compared to the NBA. Football rules in the advantage for homefield. Just because Atlanta wins a game in their series doesn't mean they ever had a chance.

the chalk rules a lot in the NBA not because of homecourt, which rarely holds, but because 7 games typically benefits the better team.
