Root for it. This is the best possible thing that can happen to Tennessee. No matter how good Tobias and Scotty play they will still be back in Orange in if there is a lockout. Add Ware at the point and we have:

PG- Ware
SG- Hopson
SF- Tatum
PF- Harris
C- Hall

Bench- Mcrae, Golden, Maymon, Chris Jones,

With an extra year in development that could be a dominant team. If the NCAA doesn't give us any serious penalties and Bruce keeps his job we could be in great shape. Hope for the lockout! It could be the key to getting us out of this mess.

I have a friend in Kentucky who swears this is going to happen. Could you imagine the talent that UT, UK, and UF would have? Holy crap. If I had any of those teams on my schedule as a coach I would cancel. lol

I would bet big money it will happen. Listen to some of Sterns comments and then look at how NBA players manage their money. The players can't holdoout and the owners can. There will be a lockout and the players will lose a lot of money. Root for it and get ready for an exciting SEC East.

I can't tell you the show or the reporter because I was cleaning while listening to it, but there were small conversations about this on ESPN today.

I think there is always the possibility for that. It depends on their dreams. I don't know of many American born boys who as a child, a high school player, and a college player dreamed of playing in the European League. It depends on whether they want to follow their NBA dreams or the dollar signs. I think you will see a little of both.

I don't think kids dream about it, but I do think the money will talk over staying in college for 2-4 years.

I think more kids would just go to Europe, ala Brandon Jennings.

:good!: Or Turkey. These kids want to make money. They don't care if it's in a foreign country or in the NBA. A lock out would be bad for local economies in an already bad economy. A LOT of people's livelihoods depend on games being played, especially the smaller market teams.

I think Karns would not convince Hopson or Tobias to head overseas unless Tennessee had a post season ban.

I think guys like Kanter and Knight might head over for huge contracts while I would expect Lamb etc to stay. What people do not seem to realize is that UK has a better class in 2011 than this year.

If everyone from this class stayed, and Cal also had the kids from the 2011 class they would literally have more talent in college than several NBA teams. People have joked about that before, but this would be the first time to my knowledge that it would be a valid statement.

If I were a betting man I'd put money on a lockout. I don't think Hopson would leave regardless.

Would Ware get the starting PG job before Jones and Golden? I love Ware's game, and I'm fine with it, but I was under the impression that Chris Jones was going to be the best PG we've had in a while. Either way, yes, I think Tobias and Scotty would stay. I think most of the players would be more inclined to play NCAA ball over Euro.....but who knows.
