With Harden they maybe could have won last year when Russ was out.

Perhaps.

I just look big picture, they can now dump Perk because of Adams. So then they can start Russ, Thabo, KD, Serge, and Adams. On the bench they have Collison, Lamb, Jackson and Jones. They can use the extra cap space and go get another quality big, maybe a little more scoring punch for the bench. I love Harden, but I love the pieces they have. Harden would still be the 6 man in OKC.

They're still going to make a run at the ring, plus they added a much needed big, and have cap space to pursue another quality bench player.

A much needed big who's ass is firmly planted on the bench. MLE bench players aren't the difference between winning rings. All-Star guards however....

I thought the Harden trade was a disaster at first, but now I don't mind it as much. Harden is great but he doesn't exactly have a pretty stacked Houston team tearing up the league.

They won't need to go MLE with Perk gone. I'm pretty sure they can find a pretty good player for 9 mill. All-Star guards that vanish in the finals except one game? If they win it all this year who really cares.

Adams will be starting next year, and for the next 5-7 years. I'm ok with him sitting some this year.

6th man is just a title. I doubt he would have that role honestly but if he did he would be getting 30 plus minutes a game.

I'm kinda with Jerry to an extent. Harden was going to bail and they did a pretty good job of getting value. It wasn't even, but there have been much worse trades.

To me, what makes it a bad trade is they dealt the wrong guard.

I think people are misunderstanding what I'm saying. I'm not saying it was even, but it was a decent trade especially moving forward. It definitely wasn't one of the worst ever.

Id rather have Harden than Lamb and Adams.

So would I, but it wasn't that bad of a trade. I'm an optimist when it comes to my favorite teams. Again if they win the title this year, which is very possible...who really cares? Also if Adams turns into to a 10-10-2 guy.and Lamb can produce 12-14pts off the bench and the can sign another player. I'll gladly take it.

You're not suggesting they should have traded Russell are you? Cause that would be insane.

You're hoping these guys pan out against a proven commodity.

How many elite bench players are worth that kinda cash? How many of them want to live in Oklahoma City?
