Going further into what I was saying. When Russ is playing KD has more of a tendency to lay back and let Russ work. With him he has moments where he just stands around, or barely tries to get open. Now Russ takes bad shots for sure, but some of those are bailout shots. Without Russ KD is way more aggressive, calling for the ball, fighting to get open, really active the whole game. Is this KDs respect for Russ, the game plan, or does Russ beat him up before games? Who knows. I agree they would be better with Russ taking less shots, they would also be better with this aggressive KD. The 2 go hand in hand. IMO

Watch a game, Durant is more passive when Russ is playing. I've explained this in detail before.

He shot 19.7 per game in 2012.
He shot 17.8 per game in 2013.
He shot 18.4 with Westbrook in 2014.

Do you want him to be more aggressive?

In 2012 they combined for 38.9 shots per game.
In 2013 they combined for 36.5 shots per game.
In 2014 they combined for 35.3 shots per game.

Looks like they are a better team when they spread the ball around. Durant knows what he's doing, but if Westbrook shoots less, I can guarantee you Durant will shoot more, which is a great tradeoff.

I said watch a game and you can see he is more passive with Russ playing. Idk what those stats have to do with what I said.

OK, I don't know what your point is. It seems like a chicken and egg argument. I don't know if you have ever played with a ballhog, but it kind of sucks to work your ass off to get open only to see your PG take a ****ty shot from 18' with a defender right on him. I guess I don't dispute that Durant is less aggressive with RW (the last 2 seasons), but my point is that RW should take less shots. Whether he gets the ball to Ibaka, Lamb, Durant, or whomever, he should take less shots. If Westbrook played the role of a facilitator instead of being shoot-first, I think they would be a much better team.

I've watched a lot of the Thunder the last few years. Even saw them in person at MSG.

How do you not understand my point? As far as the chicken and the egg, I said the 2 go hand in hand.

I bet you thought the same thing Sunday against the Spurs too?

What's up man, where ya been??

I did actually, and was really surprised. But then again, the Spurs have struggled against good teams.

I'm good. Just been busy, I go through spurts on VN. After the Vols season finished, and the Packers' season ended, my post-season sports depression kept me off here for a while.

I'm back, and better than ever though. :)

How have you been?

By the way, I had a great time at the NBA game in London, for the sixth straight year. Shame the Hawks couldn't pull out the win against the Nets... Seeing Korver continue his streak was cool though.

I think it will be a good game, Miami struggles against bad teams, hopefully they will/can turn it on tomorrow.

Well that's good to hear, im doing good. Hoping Peyton can bring home the trophy Sunday.

I really, REALLY, hope Peyton wins on sunday. Damn, Seachickens. I hope he goes surgical on those chumps.

I was a pass first, second, and third PG so I generally hate shoot first PGs. But Russ is forced into it sometimes.

I'd be willing to bet LBJ goes into lock down mode on KD, and unless someone else steps up OKC loses by double digits.

I think OKC have caught us at a good time for a win. We may be streaking, but we don't look convincing. Closing out games has been shoddy for us recently.

OKC 105 Miami 92
