Melo has absolutely no clue how to play team basketball, if he did he'd be top 5, but he doesn't. IMO Blake is a good player, but most people think he's a superstar, I do not. He's a poor man Shawn Kemp. IMO

This is fair.

Which is still an All-Star, IMO. LOL

I agree that Melo is a top 5 talent, but with the way he plays I wouldn't even want him on my team.

Are you even reading what I'm saying? Lol I never said he wasn't an all-star I said SUPERSTAR, which some people consider him to be.

I take all-star appearances with a grain of salt, it's a popularity contest. Rodman was an all-star what 2 times I think. Thats ridiculous.

I've been saying that for 3 years. He's obviously very good but they have a pretty damn good team without him.

Didn't realize they picked up Dunleavy. He's a nice player.

I've said the same things as well, after last year it's hard for people to argue it now.

I wouldn't wait on Stephenson to become Paul George and it if there's a GM willing to pay him anything close to 14 million a season he should be fired immediately.

I like George. Potentially a true star player. Pacers need him to be that guy.

I wouldn't pay Stephenson 14 million at this point. I'd say he could be worth about 8 million at the moment based on his age and flashes he's shown with the possibility of someone willing to roll the dice and offer him 10. If you just look at his scoring average last year, you probably wouldn't think he's worth that but the potential is there. It's all of the little things he does. And while he's nowhere near the player Lebron is, he is kind of built like a smaller version of Lebron. At 6'5 230lbs, that's a little on the heavier side but he wears it well and it doesn't hinder his movement. He muscles people off him to create space and runs through them while absorbing contact when he attacks the basket. Usually one to two times a game you'll see him collect a defensive board and run the entire floor through everyone on the opposing team. The video I posted on the previous page, start at the 35 second mark and you'll see him grab the rebound and run the floor by himself. You'll see him do that just about every game.

No doubt I wouldn't pay him 14 million at this point but he's definitely worth something based on potential. Because he's been the 5th option in the starting unit, he just does what the coach wants by filling up the stat sheet with rebounds, assists, steals and playing defense. I think he's capable of being more of a scorer and wouldn't be surprised if he were to average something like 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals this season. Heck, I just looked at his averages last year and he basically averaged 9 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal on 46% shooting in 29 minutes per game. So really, my proposed averages seem within the realm of possibility. 6 more points is a pretty big improvement but averaging just 1 more rebound, assist and steal isn't all that much. We'll see...

Saw that Tony Allen bought 500 tickets to give away for the Grizzlies season opener and it reminded me about the Paul George article I read yesterday. He bought out the entire arena for Fresno State's home opener and is giving them all away.

Pacers Insider: Paul George buys out Fresno State’s season opener tickets | Pacers Insider
News out of Fresno is that Paul George scooped every single ticket of Fresno State’s season opener on Nov. 16. George, a former Bulldog, is allowing fans to attend the game on his dime.

From the Fresno Business Journal:

“Indiana Pacer and former Fresno State Bulldog Paul George didn’t take long to put his recently-inked contract to good use, as the NBA All-Star purchased every ticket to the Bulldogs’ season opener on Nov. 16.

…George purchased the tickets for the Save Mart Center’s full 15,596-seat configuration.”

Let’s do some math. Adult tickets for Fresno State Bulldog men’s basketball games start at $17. So, just using that low figure – and again, prices do go up – we can estimate that George spent roughly $265,132 for the tickets.

What? At no point did I claim you said he wasn't an all-star. And when I call him an all-star I mean that he is a legitimate all-star.

Welp, looks like the NBA might want the New Orleans to get a win in their home opener as the first year Pelicans. Roy Hibbert has 2 fouls less than 2 minutes into the game and the Pacers already have like 4 fouls called against them. smh

This is crazy. The Pacers have been called for a foul almost every Pelicans possession. What the...

Speaking of overreactions, let's pump the brakes on conspiracy theories for a game that almost nobody is going to see TOP. Pacers are just playing bad. Not all that uncommon when you have to travel and play the second game of a back to back on the road.
