NBA 2k15

I simulate all the non-key games and my team is 41-3. I've had better teams than this (overall team rating is 93) but I've got a lot of key games left so it might be possible to break the Bulls record.

Update. I lost the last 2 games (simmed) of the season and finished 69-13. WTF!

I always start a my player, and give up after half a season. Should I give it a shot this year?

If you're talking about mycareer, that's the only mode I play. I love it. It is hard and frustrating at first, but once you learn how to get good teammate ratings you will pile up the VC/SP and your player will be good in no time. You start at like a 66 and I'm usually around 80 by the end of my rookie year. 99 by 4th year.

With the on court coach badge, I have become an absolute beast.

I now average 32/13/12. I also broke the playoff game record for assists with 26 lol.

I love racking up huge rebounds and assists numbers. I joined the Warriors during free agency and I have Curry and Thompson to ball with. We finished 64-18 and had a 22 game winning streak going until I lost the last game to the season. Lame.

If I focus on getting assists, it's harder to get assists. So weird. I don't think I've had more than 12 assists unless I scored more than 30.

Also, with the way players recover defensively, it seems like the better you set your teammate up, the more likely he is to miss a layup or get his shot blocked from behind. It makes no sense.

If the computer wanted to score every time, all they'd have to do is take me baseline. When they start to dribble around, the camera swings and my relative position changes. I cannot stay in front of them, and it almost always ends up in an easy layup.

I don't have the skills.

Gotta cut off that baseline bro bro

Anybody have any luck breaking any season records besides 3-pointers? I sim most of the non-key games and the simulations bring my averages down so much. To break the assists record you gotta do 14 per game, and I'm averaging at least 16 in the games I play. For the season I am averaging 8.9 apg. That means the simulations are like 7 apg and I don't have anything left to upgrade. It's ridiculous.

You could stop simulating games, that might help.

If I'm going to break Stockton's career assist record, it will take me at least 16 years, LMAO.

I'm a center now on mycareer. The rebounding is so infuriating. Both teams shoot 70% when I'm in the game and the bounces are ridiculous. I'll be in the best position to get the board 90% of the time and go an entire half with 1 rebound. That happens far too often.

Anybody have tips? I devised a scheme to stand out of bounds on offense, and just step into the paint right before a shot goes up. It works sometimes, but you'd be surprised how often my team doesn't even get a shot off when I try this (which is weird, because it basically becomes 4 on 4 with no rim defender).

I don't get why people keep buying these games. I just redboxed it and I'm already done with it.

The gameplay is 100% animations.

The players don't have common sense.

You can't control your player with any precision.

You cant pass it to the player you want 50% of the time, I've literally pointed to one direction to pass and it go to the player on the opposite side. (the only way to insure it goes to who I want is to bring up the icons, which isn't feasible on a fast break, etc. even when I do bring the icons up the AI will use a bounce pass when they shouldn't or vice versa).

The players can't catch passes without stopping running or just don't catch it at all.

It's impossible to play defense.

Shooting streaks go from one extreme to the other.

Momentum is broken, it's unbelievably bad.

I could go on and on.

I guess it's just not for me.

Or maybe it's just the nature of making a basketball game. Idk. The football games don't have these problems so i just don't get it.

I'm in my 3rd year as a shooting guard, but I'm playing small forward. The things I hate most our cpu players just standing in one spot dribbling for 15 seconds, and my team never signs any good players in the offseason

Yeah, I'm a SG in my 2nd season. I hate that you can't pick what your second position is. They assigned me SF, but I'd rather be PG. I'm on the Cavs and Irving is always hurt. Instead of starting me at PG and Shumpert (79ish) at SG, they start 'dova (63ish) at PG. It's so dumb.

I don't have a mic but, I would like to play some multi player games. It would be an easy win for someone, lol
