Nother sweet dunk against the Pacers - over Granger and some poor silly white dude. Screen shots not showing up for some reason.

Well - can't figure out how to put my player onto my page but here are his attributes..

The Magic started doing real well after a terrible start - then hit a small snag - but we are 2nd or 3rd in the east still about 14-18 games into the season.

what quarter length do you all play on? I've yet to get NBA player of the week in 1 season and about 1/8th of the next season - although I'm averaging about 28 ppg this second season but still can't get it - dunno why - maybe it's because my defensive attributes suck and they score quite a bit on me and shoot a good %. I get a lot of blocks though. I think I'm averaging around 4-5 boards a game and 1 bpg and a 2 assists.

i rented this yesterday and when i took it out of the case the backside of the disc looked like it had been run over by a lawnmower. the game starts up but as luck would have it the my player feature is apparantly unreadable while everything else can be accessed. i might take it back tomorrow for another copy.

Well i have 2 games left in my season i just beat the Spurs so i am 62 and 19 there 61 and 20 so if i win the next 2 i lock of Home court. Cant believe i have played 2 full seasons of a hoops game. This game for me is th sports game of the yr last year.

I've unlocked the 360 dunks - and have been trying to use Josh Smith and J. Richardson's dunk packages (and have a 99 vertical) - but still can't get them. My guy is left handed so I dunno if that has anything to do with it. But everyone says to push the right stick left (not rotate it 360 like the manual says because he just does a retarded layup attempt). Everytime I push it left (or even right) it just does one of my other semi-cool dunks.

I've tried approaching from each side of the basket, switch it to my opposite (right hand) hand, and tried pushing the stick to both sides while in shoot around.

Well - he's my best play yet probably. Finally did a 360 dunk - and it was during a game - but it isn't one of the cool 360 dunks under my specialty dunks - still cool but not between the legs or anything.. and coming after a nice block.

Any idea why my guy doesn't have a contract? I play for Orlando, I'm the starting SG and when I try to look up my contract info, I don't have any

man...i don't know about the movement controls in this game. i just picked it up and started a "my player", went with a SF. but he wouldn't move in the direction i pressed the damn stick. i want him to move left and he does a spin cross over and gets stuck on the defender who has moved in while he wasted time with all the ball handling. is there and attribute to make players more responsive to the control? or a setting to separate movement and all the dribbling ****?

Well - if a defender is right on you - you can't just do anything you want. Ball handling/off-hand dribbling/quickness will help though. Offensive/defensive awareness may help some in similar areas.

it's not just that. say i am just inside the 3pt line at the top of the key. inside of just taking a step back, my player takes like 5. try and nudge the stick forward and he leaps back across it. and this all seems to happen with a good amount of delay.

anyone play Live '10? Just wondering if the controls are the same, in the past the games haven't been close in terms of controls.

Controls for Live and 2K have ALWAYS been different, not sure where you are getting that they have ever been similar. Live is awful especially compared to 2K, doesnt matter if you are talking about gameplay, graphics, franchise, or controls. I would not even tell anyone to rent Live 10 much less buy it fwiw.

it's taking forever for my guy to get any good. currently he's a 47 overall SG playing for a grizzlies team made up of horrible teammates.

If you don't have the draft combine version it's tough to get your mans skills up. I started out with a 47 and 90 games later I'm a 83. It takes time, just play well in your games, if you can't score set a lot of picks, make smart passes. The better you play the more Skill Points you get. Be sure to do your drills. It will take a while, but my man is a beast now. Oh, and Offensive and Defensive awareness is what gets your overall rating up faster than anything

What's the big deal in getting those to 99 as fast as you can and having a sky high overall if your player still sucks? I started as a 46 overall player about 10 games into the 1st season - I mean it helps with loose balls and double teams and such - but is that really more important than getting your defense or your shot or your athletic ability up?

No doubt. I much rather have a good inside-outside scorer, and good defense, rather than worrying about "awareness" But that's just the way the game is. I didn't notice until I was about at a 55 rating and my shooting SP were 90+ and when I started playing with awareness SP I got to a 63 in just a few games

But what's the point? I've noticed the announcers claim I'm not usually a prolific scorer (although I'm top 5ish in the NBA) - I'm guessing that changes with overall rating. Also - even though I'm scoring so well and rebounding well I'm not even on the list for Small Forwards in all-star voting. Is that connected to overall as well? I'm like a 74 overall.

i think i've realized that i just suck at this game. i've been trying my luck with association mode and i'm currently 2-10 with the bulls. the sooner i can trade joakim noah the better......he's absolutely terrible.
