national signing day?

"National Signing Day" is now mostly the early signing day. We picked up one player today. James Pearce. Probably won't be too much news on new players until after Spring ball.

Yep. Early signing day is the big one. National signing day has pretty much just become the post credits scene to the main movie.

Average at best signing class if all pan out.... The top classes in the SEC demolished us... Im a Huepal fan but this recruiting class was a little less than i thought we would get

Rivals has us 4th in the SEC and 12th overall. What else did you expect? We spent an entire year assuming sanctions

247 has use 16th in recruiting. 25th overall, which includes transfers and puts us 11th in the conference. It was not a good recruiting class anyway you cut it. Almost 70% are 3 stars. Recruiting has been the big question mark for CJH. He will not last if he doesn't start pulling some top talent. Everybody is all googly eye over him now (like the last 4 coaches when they were hired) but if he's not winning 10 games in 2 years and beating at least 1 of the big 3 the fans will be calling for his head.

I'm surprised that CJH and staff recruited as well as they did.

It's almost impossible to recruit well when every coach that talks to a kid and his family tells them about the NCAA ax hanging over Tennessee neck that will probably lose Vols Bowl games and schollies so the team will be really bad for the next several years.

How do you recruit well with every coach saying those things?

What can CJH and staff say to kids and their family when asked about the NCAA ax hanging over our neck?

Some of our fans need to get back into the world of reality.

I want to Win another National Championship too and my age and health is working against me ever seeing that happen again but at least I try to be realistic about things.

Hang in there folks, our coaches are working their butts off and doing the best they can under horrid circumstances.

I'll always still love my Vols no matter what!!!!!!!

VFL...GBO!!!

You’ve got a lot of SEC coaches that are selling the equivalent of a Lamborghini versus Heupel who’s selling a used Ford Fiesta that’s backseat smells like cat piss. Heupel has restricted scholarship numbers, an investigation hanging over his head, works for a program with a history of incompetent leadership with no clear vision for the direction of the program.

College football recruiting rankings: Every SEC team's 2022 signing class
TENNESSEE
247Sports Composite Class Ranking: No. 16

SEC Composite Class Ranking: No. 7

The word: Tennessee landed seven four-star signees for 2022, including several edge rushers that the Volunteers' coaching staff says could be the foundation of this cycle. Tennessee saw several players enter the portal and leave in recent years, but fought back a bit this cycle with four acquisitions of its own, Gerald Mincy, a defensive tackle from Florida. Greenwood (Ind.) Center Grove four-star quarterback Tayven Jackson is a player to keep an eye on — the No. 13 overall signal caller in the 2022 cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite.

I understand the talk about the 5* coming in and helping right out of the gate, but we all know for every 5* that made it to the pros there are several 2,3 and 4* All I am saying is that I see schools around the county playing better with 2 and 3* players than some SEC schools with blue chippers.
