Several national sports radio shows singing the praises of the Vols turnaround after the 1-4 start.

Nice to see some don't just "pile on" but have the chops to compliment us when we do something worthwhile.

The only thing better than a good rags-to-riches story is a riches-to-rags-riches story.
This is exactly the way to understand sports media IMHO. Bigtime program that has fallen, ruined program resurrected, Heisman phenom that is an NFL bust, national champion to probation - it’s all about the up and down. The sports media tend to ride people and programs up and down like carnival rides. Probably best to enjoy what they say without putting much stock in it.

For most media (of all types) the status quo is the enemy because its boring and ergo, no one needs to listed to their oh so important opines about it. Great programs going down, once great programs going up or upsets out of nowhere get more clicks, more eyes, more ears. THAT is all they care about at the end of the day.

I heard Peter Burns on ESPNU xm radio say something about our loss to Georgia Southern at the start of the season but otherwise he was on point with his praise. To be honest who cares what they think? And the team has progressed well we can all see that but what we really need are some signature wins against good teams. And take care of business against Georgia Southerns..

Dead week of football with only a couple of big games, the rest yawners. They need to fill up that page so great time to get a streak going!

I love the National media attention.
Hopefully I’ll start seeing Tennessee Volunteers merchandise again at out of state malls next to the Alabama and Ohio State crap.
Worst part of going to Tennessee stores is seeing all the other schools having sections of stuff almost as big as the Tennessee section. I've always hated that.

I hear we are moving into the Top-50 baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaabbbby!
I saw one ranking that we're 44, and another one that we're 41. We could get into the high 30's after next weekend. I think we were in the 80's Either last year or this year.

I’ve noticed that as rough on UT as the media tends to be, they are also pretty quick to talk UT up as well when things go well.
Which is why if we curb stomp Vandy, we'll get even more press, and bowl's will come begging, knowing we'll fill the stadium if it's in FL...which you'd also think should give a shot in the arm to recruiting.
