And yet this guy is still on campus. Pathetic! Jones needs to stay in Tuscaloosa after Saturday and not return to Knoxville.

I wonder what that clown John Currie is doing?

Does he not see that Butch Jones is destroying the credibility of this program on a national scale.

He must be fired immediately to salvage the little respect we have left.

I have been a VOL fan many years and I would have never guessed it would have come to this. It is almost unthinkable this has happened to such a proud University.

What I don't understand is.....ppl that want butch fired....still attend the games. That's exactly what the losing administration wants. They have robbed and stuck it to the fans. Empty seats and no cash flow is the only way to make your voice heard by the administration. As long as ppl go and feed on the crap sammich the administration will keep serving it. Truth! How long folks will you keep feasting on that turd sammich?

I enjoy watching Tennessee football. win or lose.I shouldn't have to stop to get that Doofus to fire the other doofus. Im going to Tuscaloosa because I go to every game,not to support anyone except the players.

P.S. Both their asses (Currie included)need to be sent packing.

Since I invest in season tickets because I love this team and I love this university, I choose to go to the games. I want Butch gone just as bad as anybody else does, but I can also think of a million other places I would rather NOT be then at Neyland Stadium on a Saturday in the fall.

LOL! It's the fanbase that is being mocked as much as the program. We are an easy target based on the way we have reacted on social media.

Currie knows exactly what he is doing, which is not overreacting to the kneejerk emotions of our fanbase. This is Currie's first major hire/fire at UT as the AD. The clock starts ticking on his tenure the moment he fires Butch, so he knows his legacy here will be built, or destroyed, with this fire and hire. He will make sure he has his ducks in a row and has the support of the right people before he takes any action. And if he plans on a mid-season firing he will make sure he names the right guy as interim so that this thing doesn't slide any further off the ledge.
