In no possible way can anyone with a functional brain think the GOP pursues fiscally conservative objectives. The only one I can recall who pursued those was Newt Gingrich and he only managed a couple of years of that pursuit.

A lot of people, even here, were clamoring about how DOGE was going to reduce the deficit..Probably why its only 3.8 trillion and not 4 trillion with those DOGE savings.

There's fraud but unlikely as much as is being hinted at. This was already addressed by doge and I believe walked back because of the impact. They need to target the cards being used for improper charges and the people using them. Simply marking an entire process as fraudulent and cutting it all is what gets this admin in huge problems

There are two types of credit cards. Travel cards used for travel...and purchase cards used to purchase goods. When they did an audit they found that LOTS of cards were listed as active even though the employee was not with the government anymore. The cards weren't functional, they were just on a stale list. Travel cards cannot be used when not in travel status. Purchase cards require approval before being used.

And this gem: She added that “a lot” of card usage occurs during federal holidays and on days like New Year’s Eve at “nightclubs, bars” and on “Sunday afternoons, okay, a big UFC fight or something pay-per-view.” <-- mostly bullsh!t. Feds still work on federal holidays, on Sunday afternoons, during UFC fights, on New Years Eve, and yes, you can use your travel card at a bar to buy food (its not verboten). Cash withdrawals are allowed as well up to a limit. You also have to factor in this is coming from a woman, a woman from Iowa, a woman who went to Iowa State, a woman from Iowa who was in the Army, a woman elected to Congress. Literally nothing in my last sentence should make you feel she is trustworthy or intelligent.

THAT being said..is there fraud and abuse? Sure. But its few and far between..unless you're in the secret service...........
