Today, February 24th has been declared a National Day of Mourning for the city of Memphis....There will be no businesses open; however, free crying towels will be available to all at a small kiosk on Beale Street....

For those who might wonder, "PJ" Calipari will not be seen anywhere in the city for the next several days while he recovers from severe embarrassitis- so don't look for him...:birgits_giggle::birgits_giggle:

I would have to tell them thanks so much.....I'd love to give you a call after you guys find a football team to return the favor!

and all of it with a huge smile.

Serves Memphis right since most of them will vote for either Obama of Hillarious!:rock::rock::rock:

I didn't have one bad experience in my time in Memphis. Everywhere I went I had my orange on, and the fans couldn't have been nicer. I know most of you hate Memphis, but I feel like they will be a tough out in the tourny, bc they play similar to us. Although not as deep. Overall, I thought the arena was nice, fans were great, and it was a great atmosphere for a game.

The memphis fans at my office were in full force with the excuses: the "real memphis team" didn't show up, memphis "got hosed" by the refs, UT "got all the breaks"----etc. etc....

If that was me I would wait until the polls come out this afternoon and email them all a copy.

Thats pretty funny, saying Memphis got hosed by the refs... especially after watching our guys get massacred repeatedly in the lane.

I have to say that I had a great experience. One prick in Silky's but I laughed at him. He actually said to me "Y'all have 7 national titles right... oh that's your womens team". I said you are correct. Our mens team has the same number of National titles as yours. He shut up and left. But most were cool.

I know we're # 1 for now, but I think we should wait until this week before we start pounding our chest. I mean if we lose to Vandy or Kentucky, Memphis leap frogs us again

UT wins out, gets #1 seed easy--and hopefully gets to play their tourny games in the south!
