National Championship game comes down to.....

And it doesn't help UT one bit to have our biggest rival in the West to be playing our biggest rival in the East

It's just stupid to want either team in the CG

We have to compete for players with these two

Much rather have an all SEC CG than to have OK or Clemson playing in the NC. Bama & GA are going to get their recruits anyway. I'm certainly not a Bama or GA fan but I am glad we are getting a PROVEN Bama DC as a head coach instead of throwing a dart at the dart board. Recruiting is the life blood of any program and it is apparent that Pruitt can recruit & COACH his players up. He knows what it takes. Our Offensive & Defensive lines have been fair at best last few years. I have more confidence in Pruitt than any of the other coaches we've had since Fulmer. Time will tell. Running down the other SEC teams doesn't help us.

Really. I responded to that scenario earlier today. Kirby will win with Richt's players and that's not cool. Smart hasn't built anything but rather walked into a good situation. I despise both teams but it's unaminous that a Bama victory will benefit UT in some ways. Pruitt has much work cut out for him here.

So Smart is doing better than Richt, with Richts players? So what? That just shows Smart is the better coach.

WHAT it always does. DEFENSE.

From teams at age 6 to 36. Doesn't change. Defense and OL. In the pits.

Bammer appears to be banged up a little more, but should be a good game.

Regardless of rooting or not rooting for Bammer. It is great to see an all SEC Championship Game.. With the Golden Doomers, Michigan and others in disarray. Ohio State, USC, all having to watch and wonder.

Cant wait for early UT reports to weight room with a new Coach and lets get this party started in Knoxvegas.

Yep, that 100 point semi game between OU & UGA came down to defense too.

Dude do you ever take the right position on an argument?

Are you really trying to say a team playing a rival at home plays the same way as they would on the road in a meaningless game?
Yeah, the Peach Bowl was meaningless. Auburn was just looking forward to going to Underground Atlanta and getting liquored up. You are an idiot sometimes.

Playing UCK was like getting into a fistfight with a girl I guess.

So a team playing for an undefeated season in the biggest game the program history isn't going to be way more motivated than a team that lost its conference championship game and a shot at the cfp?

Plus AU won the two game at home. This game was neutral field.

If you can't see that motivation, timing, and location of the game affect the play then I don't know what to tell you. :thud:

I don’t follow your logic. Smart is winning with Richt’s players, and you ask “so what?”

Now add in, Smart is recruiting BETTER than Richt did, and that’s not easy to do!!! Georgia is #1 this year, and we should expect them to be Top 3 annually. A better coach with better players, that’s what we face going forward.

I would humbly disagree..........when you see the SEC payout to ALL SEC schools after an ALL SEC Championship........the Dollars are amazing. Football aside, it will bring in some major dollars.

Totally agree with you, we will collect major $$$ while fielding a horrible team this year, thanks to revenue sharing in the SEC.

But, according to Forbes, all 4 CFP teams get the same payout. There is no additional money for advancing to the Finals, except $2M in expense money which is not shared.

UCF probably WAS more motivated. And it showed the way they beat up on the big old bad ass SEC. It takes away NOTHING from UCF and their capabilities. Auburn lost a fistfight with a girl if that makes you happy.

As far as location though you missed with that one. Auburn is just down the road. Orlando is a 10 hour drive. Neutral it is not. UCF fans traveled though. Good for them. They deserve to be top 4-5 and maybe higher.

Bama has the edge, IMO, even with the injuries. UGA giving up 531 total yards and 242 on the ground?! Damn, I know offense is OU's strength, but wow.

For whatever reason, Ga, didn't appear to even try to pressure OU qb the first half. It appeared they were trying to contain him to the pocket and he had lots of time to throw. The second half they only scored one offensive td in regulation; and I think it was because Ga. made adjustments at half time and put pressure on the qb. Had they pressured the whole game I think Ga would have beaten them soundly.

I have said this since 2016, Jalen Hurts is pathetic.

With Kiffin gone he is worse. Bama will have to rely on D if they want this title.

Jalen is at his best when they let him be himself, meaning he needs to run more. He is not a very effecient passer; he can hurt you more with his legs than his arm. And I agree Jalen is worse since Kiffin is gone.

I will watch just because I enjoy watching good football and that will be on display during this game.
Wish they could both lose personally but I think Bama wins by at least 10 becaue I dont see UGA being able to score that much. Bama will shut the run down and their DBs are no joke IMO
