National Championship game comes down to.....

I believe it will come down to QB play by both of them. Hurts is very limited in what he can do in the passing game no matter how much time he has, he's simply a RB/DB talent that has no future in the NFL as a QB. Fromm no matter how well he has played this season is still a freshman, Bama will force Fromm to beat them, not Michel or Chubb, and he won't get it done is my prediction. I expect to see Bama do to UGA what they did to Clemson as offensively UGA are similar to the Tigers.

Gonna get his nose bloodied and body bruised, but yes.
He's been around some pretty amazing head coaches, plus he's got one down the hall. Be fine.

Answering that as a fact is where I will differ.

Some have succeeded, some have been decent, others have fallen on their ass in similar situations.

Time will tell.

Time to hope for a dominating defensive showing and Bama winning. Its the best outcome for us. We don't need UGA having a recent title. Bama is going to Bama regardless.

I have said this since 2016, Jalen Hurts is pathetic.

With Kiffin gone he is worse. Bama will have to rely on D if they want this title.

against OU, they had to ask Fromm do more from the pocket than he had in any game this season. i'd say the results were mixed. he avoided the big mistake, which may be the big victory there. but he wasn't great. sailed the ball a few times, was behind the WR at times.

the good news for GA is that their offensive line looked like it could pass protect for the most part. if they can do that against Bama, then they'll at least give him a chance to beat them on one on ones. and they'll see plenty of those.

but i just think Bama presents more problems than GA does, match up wise. yes, hard indeed to go against Bama, especially as they get healthy.

Agreed.

Mayfield provided an element to defend that Bama doesn't have in Hurts. I like the matchup better for UGA's D against Bama running than OU being more balanced. Comes down to just brute force and old fashion run defense. I think UGA is built better for that.

Having said that, OU's D is on a different plant from Bama. If UGA can get to 24 ish they'll have a shot.

Now we have a week to listen to all the SEC haters.
Serves them right. :lolabove:

One more example of the need for a real playoff system, combining all the conferences.

But one way or the other, the Nat Champ this year will be from the great SEC!

And the Big Orange is coming in the not too distant future

i just see that front 7 dominating again. and Fromm is a freshman. and Bama's back 4 are pretty much awesome.

GA has speed at WR, and we know the RB's. i'm not convinced Fromm can spread the ball around enough....

the telling stat for me yesterday for GA was their 3rd down production. OU did a good job of getting them in to 3rd down situations in the first place, and GA didn't convert enough....and many were the 3rd and medium to short range....that would concern me if i were a GA fan.

that HAS to change for GA to possess the ball and put the pressure on Hurts. GA's defense is plenty good enough.

to me, it's about GA's offensive line. and while i think they're really good, i'm not sure they can handle that front 7 we saw last night.

Consider that the Vols are the only team in the SEC other than Auburn that plays these two teams every year. We have many miles to go before we are anywhere near the level of Alabama, Georgia and Auburn too.

He'll need to not be FR like for them to win.

It’s irrelevant what we “want”. The praise being heaped on UGA’s LBs (coached by our new DC) and Bama’s D (coached by our new HC) ain’t HURTIN us.

Hope the score is 3-2.....Hopefully Bama cause one more ain't gonna make a difference.

The tears of all those SEC fans that aren't bama or georgia are going to be just as sweet. For us, not so much.

Oh but somehow this makes us look better. lulz

Your first statement makes no sense, sorry. Are you just typing syllables to see them on the screen?

The only way this game is worse is if it’s bummer vs the Gators, but it is funny to see the other conferences whine, moan and groan about the SEC.

Oh he said something about the tears of the sec haters being sweet. I don't see much for SEC fans other than Gumps or Dawgs to be smiling about.

And it doesn't help UT one bit to have our biggest rival in the West to be playing our biggest rival in the East

It's just stupid to want either team in the CG

We have to compete for players with these two

Biggest rival in the East? Have you forgotten about the douchebags to their south?

Major differences between Coach Pruitt and butch.1)Coach Pruitt will be true with his players(no under-the-bus antics, and 2)Coach Pruitt can coach them up and Adjust during the game.

Too bad neither will be bringing those players with them next season.
