Nashville Restaurants

We'll be out by the airport, so we'll be on that side. What other places did you have in mind?

Thanks for the lists. I've hit a few of those, although my wife hasn't had Hattie B's, and its on my list of places to take her. Burger Republic was pretty damn good.

Hoping to try one of the pizza places before we leave on Saturday. I wanted to try Mafiaozas when we were in for the Vanderbilt game but didn't have time.

if you go get there early. 12 south tends to be very trendy and gets crowded fast.

My tops in Nashville...

1. Mas Tacos

2. Pharmacy - better burger than Gabbys imo.

3. Five Points Pizza

4. Edleys Bbq.

5 Rosepepper Cantina

Pharmacy isn't even best on the East side IMO. Riverside Grillshack. Pharmacy has good stuff though and a great atmosphere.

Mas Tacos is sooooo good.

Best brisket: Martin's BBQ. Also, try the Farmhand Fries if you're not dieting.

Best ribs/pork: Peg Leg Porker.

Best all around BBQ: Edley's. I really enjoy the wings here.

Best burger: Burger Republic in The Gulch.

Best pizza joint: Mafiaozas. Wide selection of good outside of pizza and a good beer list.

Best breweries: Yazoo, Czann's, Smith and Lentz, New Heights.

Best craft beer bars: Hops and Crafts and The Filling Station.

Best hot chicken: Hattie B's

I'm good with most of this, but Edley's brisket >>>>> Martin's brisket.

Agreed. Pharmacy has good atmosphere, but I've been underwhelmed by their burgers the past few times I've been.

Not a burger, but on the east side I'm a big fan of Mitchell's Deli.

Agreed. Pharmacy's burgers are overrated. I like Burger Republic and Burger Up better but still not the best I've had. I have not had Gabby's but keep hearing good things so I'll have to try.

Edley's and Martin's are the best BBQ I've had in Nashville.

Rosepepper's is solid. Margaritas are tasty.

One of me and my wife's favorites is Urban Grub on 12 South.

Jenni's ice cream (across the street from Rosepepper's) is the best ice cream joint.

In the past we'd just stop by Malone's market in Inglewood and get some wonder bread and baloney.

I'm willing to wait on the Pharmacy. Seems like we'd miss out on a little with an 8 year old (a cool 8 year old, but still 8.)

If they don't go pizza, I'm going to push for Gabby's before we leave on Saturday. (Seems like it would be slammed on Friday).

I had brisket at Martins last week and it was a fatty mess. Probably should have taken it back up but just didn't care enough.

Pharmacy may not do reservations but they do have an app that lets you put your name in without being there. Drastically cuts down on the wait time. Anytime I am going to Pharmacy I do this and then sit on my couch until it's time to go.

Download the app or go to: http://nowait.com/ to do it.

I didn't see MacNamara's Irish Pub on Old Lebanon Pike mentioned. It's our favorite. You can't drink whiskey and listen to Irish music without a smile. Food's not bad either.

Good call. That place is awesome. Lots of fun to go watch the band, and they've got legit Irish food.

Anybody got any good sushi recommendations? I've been craving it, but I haven't tried much in the area.

I know this is a Nashville restaurant thread but I ate the Pharmacy because that's all I had heard about from friends and it was nothing compared to the burgers at Jumbo and Delicious in Hendersonville, TN. A hole in the wall place but unbelievable food.

Ate at a place called Slim & Husky's the other day, pretty damn good pizzas. On Buchanan Street, so you can see that there are some parts of Nashville that haven't been gentrified yet.
