Nashville Autonomous Zone

You do see the irony in a black guy bragging about buying multiple Prevosts while voting for an old , privileged , white guy from the party that holds all the power and have for decades , in all these huge cities that have the problems , and calling others racist for not believing what you say ... right ? 👀
PointGuard is black?

Perfect Ras response. Lmao...

It says a lot that nobody knows what race you are Ras. Folks here respect you because of your opinions and intellect...it has nothing to do with what your skin looks like. Nobody would know what race my sisters are either by talking to them or chatting online. 2 are black and 1 is white...but even I couldnt tell who was who if they didnt sign their names to their posts.

That's how it should be. Despite what the media and the MSM talking heads try to convince everyone...that's the way it actually IS for the vast majority of us Americans. We do not give a damn what color skin people have...we are all just trying to get by and do the best we can in this sin cursed world.

Shame on those who attempt to divide us for THEIR political gain. Shame on the media who stokes the flames of unrest...until it is at their OWN doors like CNN...they didnt incite riots when the mob was outside...shame on the Democratic party for trying to play the black folks again ...and shame on those who use this fake problem to make excuses for their own problems and mistakes. Shame on the very, very few people who actually do have hateful feelings based on skin tone.... what miserable existences they must have in order to waste their time on that hate.

I am not fooled by this bullcrap though. I know that we are better than this, as people and as a country. As always, I welcome your input though brother.

Have they set up the zone yet? Seems like some are wanting this to happen so they can get their vicarious blood-lust satiated with this zone. That goes for both sides of this stupidity.
It's been a relatively small protest. I actually walked around down there yesterday during mid-day. I could not get to the capitol if I'd wanted to. Most of the protesters I saw were old white people who show up at any pro-socialism rally. Not much to it. I think the numbers may have been temporarily bumped up once or twice over the weekend with some spillover from planned marches in the same area. Basically, there is no area of downtown over which the lawful civil authorities do not have control.

So all good then?

If you think that’s what destroyed the nuclear family you’ve lost your mind.
The system does everything to try to keep these folks out of jail.

Everything aside from, you know, not actually putting them in jail.

And I never said this was the only thing which has had an adverse effect on nuclear families.

Unless you start out with murder, nobody does serious time until they've committed many offenses.

I'm fundamentally opposed to putting people in jail for drugs, so it isn't really important to me how many "offenses" they have. It's not the job of the government to protect people from themselves.

And there are still mandatory minimum sentences for simple possession (see below for example).

There are policies that put police in higher contact with lower income areas. More often than not its the practices and behaviors that cause these interactions. Having a wife who has worked 18 years in criminal justice gives me a pretty good perspective.

Let me give the revolving example. Guy is popped for simple possession. He isn’t arrested but cited. He’ll likely get diversion or fine and go on if he appears. He fails to appear and now there is a a failure to appear warrant issued. He’s popped again (because people like this break laws all the time) and due to warrant he is booked into the system. This is the pattern and just one example.

You can’t imagine the self inflicted, stupid crap people do, or the the disparate mentality. You can’t fathom the domestic assaults that often lead to these things, where others in the same boat call the cops to come in and deal with this garbage. You know the ones saying they want to defund.

Driving on suspended and then breaking the traffic laws that get them pulled over again. They don’t pay their fines. In my county, these folks are overwhelmingly white, but it’s the same ****. I’m my county, guy resist, struggle ensues, he’s body slammed and dies from head injury. Barely gets noticed. He’s white.

What police need to do is stop responding to domestics in urban areas. Let those communities figure it out. Robbed? Oh, well. Better have insurance. Assaulted? Too bad. Don’t call the police.

If you look at the stats you’ll find that there is a better case for discrimination against males by police. The ratio of men to women killed by police is far more slanted.

I don't know what A-D are or whose table this is. In the real world, nobody goes to prison for personal use possession anymore. It's only dealers, after multiple prior arrests, and whatever they do get is probably something they plead down to. I'm pretty libertarian on drugs although my views have been tempered somewhat by attending multiple funerals for children of friends who od'd on heroin.
