Napier appreciation thread

Most of Napier's moves paid off because they converted what seemed like an historic number of 4th downs from basically anywhere on the field.

The 2-point try was incredibly stupid and cost them a chance to tie late.

He rolled the dice of fourth down plays tonight like a drunken riverboat gambler, and he largely succeeded. BUT, eventually the percentages will catch up and beat him at the wrong moment.

He reminds me of the inept coach of the Chargers.

Butch Zook looked like a psycho running around on the sidelines

I can dig the aggressiveness of Napier but in the midst of that....he made some bonehead decisions.

Is that the explanation? If we score again and it’s 16, he still loses. Unless he had money on them covering the spread it makes no sense

16 vs 17 is big. 16 means two possessions and because of the onside kick he got two possessions. 17 is 3 possessions, which he didn’t have time for

The decision to throw it deep on 4th and short was ballsy. It worked, but had they missed it, it would be scrutinized to no end.

He was afraid we’d score again. By going for two he would’ve made it a 9 point game. So if we scored it would’ve been 16.

He was trying to keep it at two possessions because he had no confidence in his defense

Exactly, he was going for the win, which is why he went on 4th down so many times. He knew he would have to score a lot of points to beat us. If we hadn't of took our foot off the gas we would have scored again.

I will never understand the reasoning of going for 2 after the TD to cut it to 11. Can he count past 10? 9 or 10 its still a 2 score game. No possible excuse. It seemed to me he was just lost at what to do so he panicked and went for more points. If not for that idiotic move, they only need 3 after the on-side kick. Thanks for being dumb! About time shoe is on the other foot.
I knew he was a dumbass when he gave us a first down because he fussed at the refs when we called a timeout to challenge a play. I really don't like the guy, hope he has a long coaching career at Florida

He went for it 6 times on 4th
Went for 2, 2 pointers
Went for 2 onside kicks

He knew he needed a bag of magic……..seems like shoes have switched. Tennessee merely needed to show up and play the game.
