Sorry guys but I cannot stand to watch a game when a team doesnt have the names on them. Its not as big a deal if its MY team, but someone else I dont know who their players are.
But since we are talking bout MY (our) team, yes Id hate if they took it off. I just like it for some reason.

If you actually think not having a name on your jersey will help you play more as a team then you have no idea what you are talking about. The only reason teams dont have names is if they think it looks better or have a coach that feels the need to try and prove to the public that he has a disciplined team.

IMO, you are going to play the same regardless of having your name on your jersey or not.

You are going to play the same whether you are wearing orange, red, blue, pink, or purple.

All of this is forgotten once the game starts.

:) Shhhh. What if Saban or Meyer finds out? We'd be doomed if they took the names off!

Be prepared for Richt to take the names off for 1 game next year. They wore out the blackout idea, and they figure they'd pull out all the stops for a big game. My suspicion is the LSU game...Red Jerseys and no names. That'll show Miles who's boss.

The only thing more intimidating than a blackout is a surname-out.

No reason to take them off. Whether it's right or not I guarantee a majority of recruits would prefer names on the back of their jerseys. Yeah - it doesn't hurt USC - but they're USC and are in California.

It's not enough to make a big difference in a recruits mind I'm sure (if so then they're just dumb) - but every little thing helps.

Plus I'd say most fans prefer to have them on there.

Keep names on the back, but it really does not matter. As long as we are getting the W's.

I have thought for a long time that removing the names on the back of our jerseys might not be a bad idea. Now that we have several USC coaches, what are the chances the name of the back comes off? I would like it personally. I have always been told, The name of the team is more important than the name on the back.
You think if the names are off the back of the jerseys the players will forget their names?

Lane K likes the publicity, the media, the spotlight on the players' individualism!! He'll keep the names, maybe make them even bigger!

How is that working out for Notre Dame?

And yeah, let's just go Euro-Commie style and just remove the names and only recognize people as numbers. That is the American way... :good!:

We won the championship with names on the back so no. And Notre Dame doesn't have names also and we see where their program is now.

I do not think Notre Dame not putting the names on the back of the jerseys has anything to do with them getting wins and losses :eek:lol:

I don't think the names being on or off will affect the players' performance. I like the names on the jerseys. It makes it easier to keep up with the players on the field. I know if I was out there on the field, I would want my name on my jersey.

The fact that we received a secondary violation for putting a recruit's name on a jersey makes me lean towards the keeping them on jerseys. Don't think this is high on Kiffin's to do list.

I don't think we did that. Someone tried to photo shop "Brown" reflecting off the back of Bryce's #11 jersey he had on into the locker but that is it. Kiffin got the two violations for smoke @ Neyland with recruits there and then mentioned Bryce by name and calling him a great player.
