Name Your Favorite Tennessee QB

other than Manning. Im going with Steve Alatorre. Alan Cockrell and Tony Robinson tied for 2nd.

IMHO, Tony Robinson, hands down. He had all the passes down pat ; the quick out, the laser 20 yd. sideline , the deep post, and, most of all, the outside fade to the corner end zone. Sans injury and drugs, he would have been the greatest, not to mention, a fantastic Pro career.

Truly sad. Poor decisions and drugs have stolen untold riches from our society. Really sad.

gotta go with Tee Martin 2nd for the NC his brought to Tennessee. Casey Clausen 3rd for the toughness he had and all those road games. And Heath Shuler 4th mostly for the fact he was the QB when I started watching Tennessee football (hard to do in Ohio).

I was about to say the same thing. He had more natural talent than any QB we've ever had.

Ditto, cs. I dare say, most folks on this board did not see TR play; I did. IMHO, this guy was SCARY good. He was fearless and could pick ANY defense apart, period. A friend of mine played for a rival team during TR's tenure and when they reviewd film for their upcoming game against the Vols, the coaches said " Watch this guy. He's the best you will ever see." Nuff said.

Tee, and Manning.

&& Honestly I have to give Crompton an honorably mention because look at the pure hell he went through and he stuck it out. It's obvious he bled orange, and that has to be worth mentioning.
GBO!

Heath Shuler.

The first and last jersey I bought...broke my heart when he left for the NFL.

Clausen, on the road, was my favorite. --at home...I'm still trying to dry the clothes I was wearing at the Florida game where he fumbled four times.

Casey Clausen.

I liked him more than Peyton Manning.

True story...

Forgive me Vol faithful for I don't care if I have sinned.

I honestly thought that would be the last game Ainge ever played. He looked like he had never even seen a football before let alone throw one. He rebounded quite nicely tho.

Me too. The first half of that game was abosolutely painful to watch. I'm glad he turned things around his junior and senior years.

1. C. Clausen (for ending the swamp drought - twice)
2. Tee Martin (for the NC)
3. Darryl Dickey (For helping make 1985 a special season after TRob went down)
