Name player that doesn't get enough credit for their time at Tennessee

Clearly it must be Travis Stephens, given all the folks in this thread who seem to be giving Casey Clauson sole credit for beating Florida in 2001. In a game where Stephens rushed for 226 and 2 TDs. While Clauson passed for 168 with 1 TD and 2 INTs (while having Stallworth, Washington, and Witten to throw to, no less).

Thank you. Its sacrilege to speak of Casey's performance in an honest manner around here.

Stats are no always the best thing to judge a performance. Go watch that game again.. People forget Jason Witten caused 1 int on his own. The ball hit him in the hands

Wish this guy had stayed another year.

Despite the fact that they both were selected as All-Americans, Steve DeLong and his son, Keith, may fall into this category to some degree, simply because they had the misfortune of playing on some bad Tennessee football teams. This brings up an interesting trivia question: How many father-son tandems earned All-American honors at Tennessee? I can't think of any others off the top of my head.

There are so many. Jim Bob Cooter, Rod Wilks, Gary, Quentile Dormandy...too much talent there to pick just one.

I'ma go with Cosey Casey Coleman. Those linemen don't get enough credit. Plus his name is just cool; it's like Casey Clausen on steroids.

100% agree. This dude was a road warrior and we discounted him because he was from Cali.

CASEY CLAUSEN, and it isn't even close...

Clausen was an Average qb on some extremely talented teams. I'd take Eric Ainge or Tyler Bray before clausen. Both had better arms and both(especially Bray) played on significantly less talented teams.

Billy Ratliff...that guy was so beat up from tendonitis and multiple knee surgeries that he couldn't even practice but yet he went out and gave it his all..and without him causing then recovering the Stoerner fumble we would not have a national championship

JJ McCleskey..was too small for college..and too small to play 7 years in the NFL..but he had heart and gave it his all and it paid off
