The first money will come from their social media. Bueckers has 830,000 followers on Instagram. Compare that to Candace Parker's 790,000 That many followers is worth between 10 to 20 thousands of dollars per sponsored photo. She will in a short time be making more money than any women's basketball player.
Some interesting IG presence trends for WNBA players:

Allie Quigley with 22k followers
Charli Collier with 41k followers
Sylvia Fowles with 52k followers
Glory Johnson with 58k followers
Diamond Deshields with 68k followers
Jewell Loyd with 76k followers
Diana Taurasi with 139k followers
Nneke Ogwumike with 176k followers
Breanna Stewart with 255k followers
A'ja Wilson with 289k followers
Brittney Griner with 313k followers
Elena Delle Donne with 460k followers
Liz Cambage with 635k followers
Sabrina Ionescu with 696k followers
Skylar Diggins-Smith with 1m followers

By way of comparison with NBA players:

Joe Harris with 131k followers (poor Joe...)
Trae Young with 3.1m
Jayson Tatum with 3.7m
Luka Doncic with 5.7m
James Harden with 11.5m
Steph Curry with 34.4m
LeBron James with 87.2m

Unsurprisingly, Diggins-Smith is the WBB social media leader. She should be thanking her lucky stars that her genetic makeup is right up there with her basketball skills. Personally, I'm shocked that Taurasi only has 139k followers. Then you have perennial star players like Ogwumike, Stewart and Wilson all under 300k. I'm surprised that EDD and especially Cambage are as popular as they are.

Wow...I didn't even bother to look up Te'a. Wouldn't have guessed she would be a leader. I wonder how she got it up that high? Maybe because of Dwight...because she hasn't done enough on the court to earn it based on her play.

Taurasi is such a luddite lol.

It is no surprise about EDD not only is she one of the top players in the world when healthy but she is attractive but i think her working with disabled people and her outspokenness on the topic makes her a huge draw. Also her Delaware following is incredible. They show up at the mystics games

Dwight has a part to play in it but I think it is also because of her brother and his recruitment. I think their family also did a reality show pilot. She (Te'a) is also one of the most active not just posting but also going live, so I am not surprised that her numbers are as high as they are.
