Not really. It goes toward sympathy for a guy that you hope can figure it out. When he walked in here all we knew was that he hadn't yet. That doesn't justify holding on to him after year 3. Which means Im not for firing him right now.

He filled the roster back up. We have better talent now than when he got here. The next guy will have to recruit even better if we want to compete with the best in this league.

I agree with all except getting beat by 17 at home with all the momentum on our side is not competitive its disturbing.

If by "expect us to be competitive" you mean "did I think we should beat Kentucky and not lay down to all but one ranked opponent on the schedule?" then yes, I did.

And IF we beat State and Missouri, split with UGA and SCe, win non-con games...then what? I am not advocating a contract for life for Dools, just not sure it is helpful calling for his head right now.

What did you expect our conference record to be in each of the first two seasons?

And try not to compare CLK's close games...He had Monte as DC. CJW was obviously WAY WAY over his head as an SEC DC.

If we fire Dooley, who then do we hire to make this all go away? Who is out there that will take the job? It's not like we are going to throw rediculous money around. The school has proven that they won't do that unless there is a street named after him. I just don't see anyone that would be the answer right now. I sure don't want us to just hire the next supposedly FCS up and comer for a bargain deal!

I think we're learning rather quickly that Dooley can't pull anything out of anyone's hind parts. How long are you willing to wait?

I don't want to wait, but I don't want to buy a ford focus tomorrow if I can wait a few days and buy a benz. I do not see the University of Tennessee hiring Petrino! He is not anywhere near good ole boy enough for them. We may hire the Monroe coach though.....that's reality. I know Dooley doesn't have anything up his a$$ but I know what this school will do if they fire him.

Nothing like being content. Dooley himself said the team quit....again. That's not being competitive.

:lolabove: You are absolutely goofy...We have been hearing this crap for 3 years now and TELL US how is losing to Kentucky and being 0-11 against ranked teams heading in the right direction and also while We are at it why do the players keep quitting on Dooley??...Can you figure it out yet??...Is it that hard??...Were you dropped on your head as a child and just can not comprehend FAILURE???

We really don't know because of the Hart factor. If there's no rabbit in the hat, what's the harm in rolling the dice?

We crapped out right after Fulmer, and that makes me a little shy of gambling because we're still paying the price. If we could for sure land a top shelf head coach i'm all for it but until there is one available then we ride this out. There will be no quick fixes so lets make sure we do it right this time. (not that we have any say so but if I were A.D. that is what I would be thinking):yes:

Most people see them as potential all SEC and maybe even All Americans.

Better look at a freshman named McNeil or Brian Randolph, hunter, pig, stone, McCullers, Sentimore, Couch, C Patterson ect, ect, ect.

I see LOTS of player roster improvement but I'm just a sunshine pumper I guess, LOL.

People normally see what they choose to see and omit any reality.

Reality is that we're still rebuilding and don't have SEC type players all over the field and on the bench as backups like the top SEC teams have including floriDUHHH.

Reality is it's GAME 3 with a new 3-4 D that even in the NFL normally takes 2 YEARS to get perfected.

Reality is that we all want Wins so badly that we're OVERexpecting of a team that just doesn't have enough SEC type players and experienced depth...yet.

AD Hart sees improvement as do many of us but we're all just sunshine pumpers that like our Vols to lose.

Since everyone wants to fire so many people lets fire our basketball coach too since he only just brought in a 5* kid that's ranked 12th best player in the country but that's not making good enough progress either for many around here, LOL.

Alot of days I sure would like to know the age and IQ of alot of people around VN.
