FOXNews.com - Renewed Activity Seen at Suspected North Korea Test Sites - International News | News of the World | Middle East News | Europe News

SEOUL, South Korea — North Korea has renewed activity at suspected nuclear test sites, including the movement of people, vehicles and material, U.S. intelligence sources told FOX News.
Officials said the activity, which has been observed by intelligence agencies for several weeks, does not indicate that a test is imminent, but does increase the likelihood of a nuclear test.
"At some point, you would think they would test it if they truly think they have the capability," one official said.
A test could be carried out without much forewarning, another official warned, adding that a decision to conduct a test by the closed society would only be done with political ramifications in mind.

Same old, same old, just the GOP spreading fear of terror of WMD before election time?

I don't believe the GOP has anything to do with it. I think this, once again, demonstrates the lack of genius that our enemies possess. Bin Laden releases a tape to al Jazeera just before the 2004 Presidential election and Bush gets re-elected. Now North Korea makes an announcement to the world that they are going to test their nuclear weapons, just before one of the biggest congressional elections in recent history. Haven't these idiots learned that it is for their own good to just shut up during U.S. elections?

Considering Bush has done little to nothing against either, I'd say they have nothing to fear from doing any of this.

Even Bolton is now saying the diplomatic route is the only worthwhile route to take with N. Korea.

The plan has pretty much always been the diplomatic route - just via 6 party talks rather than direct 1-1 talks.

Is Bolton calling for 1-1?

Diplomacy was not the line of thinking when Bush came into office. Bolton himself has recently stated there has been a change in tone and direction with the N. Koreans.

So all the talk with the Chinese and Russians, South Koreans, Japanese, --- that's not diplomacy?

A change in diplomactic strategies isn't the same as a change from no diplomatic approach to a diplomatic approach.

As I said before, diplomacy was not always the top method of dealing with them. Read the first sentence.
