It appears we got a WR/RB twofer.

You're right! I am very excited about the future of our program and so far Kiffin has pretty much done everything he said he's going to do. Here's the thing though, in order for Kiffin to continue this momentum in recruiting he is going to have to win and win quick. Yes all the hype and all the excitement over this staff is great but it will turn sour in a hurry if we don't at least have a solid winning season and win a bowl game (not just go to a bowl...win the game!) I'm not expecting SEC championships but he has to have moderate success and then build on that year in and year out. If we finish 7-5 this year, 6-6 next year, 5-7 the next year, etc. Recruits are not going to be interested. We HAVE to show consistent, measurable improvement each year while Kiffin is here.
"Kiffin is a great recruiter......look what he did at USC"
Since LK was hired, this "falsehood" has been propagated in attempt to help justify his hiring. Now I'm sure that the excuses will be flowing in an attempt to put a smiley face on what happened today, but when Mississippi State out recruits you, you're just not that good. LK was never a "great recruiter" as was evident today. I received alot of grief when I said as much when he was first hired. Unfortunately, there are many more falsehoods about LK's abilities that will evident this spring, and (more importantly) this fall.
Sad day to say the least. And for all that want to bring PF into this, please spare us.........LK owns this class. Congrats LK.
Is 5150 posting on the AJC.

Im a Tennessee season ticket holder but I wouldve much rather had Orson charles than Bryce Brown. BB has the biggest ego in recruiting history, which fits in great with our genius head coach. Clowns players suiting up for clown coaches. I guess I should be happy about BB, but Im not.

5150, just remember that if UT wins 6 or more games. You owe me $500.
As soon as we make it official in Bradley County. Don't pretend like you forgot. I'm still waiting.
Concerning the "gloaters"..........let me break it down. It goes without saying that BB was a great pickup. Glad he is a VOL. But here is the problem (which you all "pretend" doesn't exist): Unless BB plans to play both sides of the ball, OL & DL in particular, getting BB means almost nothing relative to this season or next. What Kiffin failed to do (in case you are oblivious to the roster) is address the 3 main concerns - which also happen to be where football games are won and lost. DL, OL, and QB. While it is great to have BB on the team, this game is won or lost in the trenches.......and LK did very little to address that. Why? He couldn't.
Like I said before......when mid-season comes you all will understand my position. You can continue to convince yourselves that LK was/is the right man for the job and you can ignore all the negatives (his embarassing gaffs) that prove he is in over his head, and you can continue to ignore his history.......but in the end I will be proven right. I won't be happy about it, but we shall see the truth in a fall.
Save this. Let us see in October who is willing to own up and who is not.
