i think he said early this year that bates was still recovering from that surgery and missed valuable reps so he was just behind in the overall scheme, but this was months ago, so it could have changed by now?!!??

he played last year on specail teams i think some....but tore a labrum or shoulder or something?!?!

This is sort of a "Where are they now?" in which the answer for all of them is, "On the sideline."

Yeah tore his labrum. He's backing up JRM this year I believe.

I would be so happy if we just ran out of the I-formation. Hurd as FB.

I usually scoff at the I-formation sentiment because of personnel, but that is an exciting way to put Hurd and Kamara on the field. Hurd can block.

Where are these guys and are they playing much? These guys in my opinion should at least be challenging for more playing time or possibly starting. I'm sure I'll forget somebody but I just wanted to start the discussion.
- Dillon Bates
- Gavin Bryant
- Elliott Berry
- Drew Richmond
- Dontavious Blair

I'm sure there are others but has anyone else wondered why we aren't playing these guys more?

Can we add allVOLyall to the list? Be nice to see one of his videos, has he made one lately?

I'm PRETTY sure that if Blair were any good, he'd be playing. I'm pretty sure that Jones would have his granny on the field if he thought she could help improve our blocking. Blair was not even college ready--much less "pro ready." He was extremely overweight and weak when he got here--not good, and apparently still not good enough.

Bates just seems like a tweener to me. Not really big or physical enough for MLB. He might yet prove me wrong on that, or end up at OLB, or something. But I'm quite sure the coaches would be playing anyone who they thought was better than the guys out on the field now.

Blair is a huge bust. Richmond is a true freshman. Bates, Bryant and Berry? I have no clue. I mean is Bates STILL injured?

Also- every receiver

Agreed haha. I had an Arkansas fan tell me that instead of game day programs with pictures of the receivers, Neyland should just hand out milk cartons with their pictures on them. I'd would be funny if it wasn't so infuriating haha.

How about 6'3"/240lb Jakob Johnson? We've all witnessed the inabilty of our lb's in coverage and general deficiency, so why move a lightning fast beast like Jakob to TE? Scratching my head....
