1. Mike Norvell

He has an incredible offense at Memphis despite having lost an NFL draft pick at quarterback. This is the man who essentially developed the offense that Justin Fuente ran and still runs with extreme success. To me, this is a no-brainer and would provide the offensive spark that Tennessee so desperately needs right now.

2. Brent Venables

Do I even need to explain myself here? The man has literally been surrounded by winning his entire coaching tenure. He has never been part of a losing season under Bob Stoops or Dabo Swinney. He essentially knows what it takes to win at a high level and would be a home-run hire. The man does not know how to lose! To top it all off, he has an absolutely ferocious defense at Clemson ,and defensive minded coaches tend to do extremely well at SEC schools (Kirby Smart, Nick Saban, etc.)

3. Les Miles

A proven SEC winning coach would be an excellent hire. In addition, he averaged winning >9 games a year in the significantly tougher SEC West division. He's likable and would definitely rally the fanbase in his support. As a whole, he reminds of Philip Fulmer and would be an excellent hire for Tennessee. The icing on the cake for this hire is that he is an excellent recruiter and could potentially steal some of the better recruits from Louisiana.

Feel free to share your list of candidates.

Thanks,
Matthew

I like your list of coaches. These NegaVol blow yards that don't are still butt hurt that Gruden nor Manning is coaching at UT. They are still living in their fantasy world. Let me help you all out......Gruden nor Manning will never be a coach at UT. Get over it!!!

Without a doubt Currie should have been fired Sunday night. Knowing how inept he is, he probably hasn't even thought about any of these candidates.

Lord help us.

You are on point except the part about leaving Venables off. This obviously means you've done 0 research on him or no nothing about him. He will be Bill Snyder's replacement at Kansas St. The guy can flat out coach. You do realize he has coached defense at Oklahoma, and now Clemson the past 6 yrs. 3 straight final 4 appearances etc...and a Natty!

He will be someone's diamond soon! I would take him in a heart beat and said so many months ago.

Well it looks like your going to get a double

Brohm could work out, but seriously Butch's resume looked much better when he came.

I am a fan of Brohm. I think he will do well with a good staff. If he can win with the talent already on the team next year, he will be here for a while. Huge upside.

I figured he wouldn’t leave FSU. He may use TAMU for a raise but why leave Tallahassee? His qb comes back next year and they will be in the mix for a Naty again.

Not hard to figure out the need to wait for an official announcement of the new head coach.
