My top 5 Reasons Eric Berry will get the ball

5 very good reasons but with the recent coaching i'd say its a toss up 50-50 chance

I would be so happy if this happened.

I just can't see Phil doing it...

I could see Clawson, for sure. I am sure that he is licking his chops over the prospect, but it all depends, IMO, on how much Phil has him handcuffed...

What do they have to lose. I just hope its not student body right, student body left, if so just keep him on defense.

We will not see Berry on Offense....unless he intercepts the ball--then he is technically on offense.

Here is what you will see:
Foster will run up the middle or toss sweep. He will be tackled within 3 yds.
Hardesty will run up the middle. He will be tackled within 4 yds.
Nick Stephens will pass deep once. Bama will be burned on it. We won't go back to it.
So no chance of opening up the run.

Somehow we will win. It is going to happen.

Thanks for this post! You cranked my excitement up 10 notches with that read!

I believe #5 is the most likely reason we will see EB with the ball.

He is the reason I can still enjoy watching Tennessee play this year. He will make a big play or a BIG hit no matter what the score.
We need about 22 of him.

GO VOLS!!! Beat Bama!!!!

Berry absolutely needs to get on the field in a limited role on offense. i dont think we should just put him as a qb and limit what he can do. i want to see him lined out wide and see some bubble screens or a reverse. dont contain him to the pocket and these qb sneaks. he is definately the most explosive player i have ever seen. eric berry is a special player and it would be a shame not to use his talents on offense

Just curious but what would the response be if Berry blew a knee out on some meaningless offensive play?

those are 5 very good reasons freak. i want to see him returning punts before he is put on offense though. if he is on offense i just see him running the G-Gun or the EB-Gun and maybe he makes something happen. put him on the punt and kick return team first!!

It would be great to see him get his chance since he's such an explosive player but if there are only a couple of plays that he would be in on, how long would it take Bama to adjust if they see him coming in?

It wouldn't take long for saban to adjust. Only way that g-gun, b-gun stuff will ever work is if they respect the passing threat out of it. Now berry is elusive enough to get out in space and make plays. Unless he throws the ball i see minimal success with it.

same response if he did it on some meaningless defensive play

yeah ok....there would be no what the hell was he playing offense backlash? I can agree with the kick returns but he should not be on the offensive side of the ball unless he is sacking the bama qb!

I agree there. If we can keep the score close til the 2nd half,it might be good to bring Berry in to see if it can spark some action and hoping that Bama doesn't perform well in the 2nd half.

I disagree with #2. Fulmer has talked about using him on O all season, even talked about it before the MSU game, yet no Berry on offense.

so true...i think it worked the first time this year and that's about it. i haven't been impressed with the play calling this year. this goes for both sides of the ball

The playcalling in the ucla game alone took five years off my lifespan.
