Lets sum up the season thus far:

We generally expected to be 3-2 at this point. There have been no surprises, either good or bad. We beat the first two teams handily (as expected). It was a shocker to see what Oregon could do to us, but look at what they are doing to everyone else: exactly the same.

As I type, they (Oregon) are leading Cal 20-0 half way through the first quarter (and just now had the ball in the red zone). Waiting just a couple more minutes and it is 27-0 with 3:10 left in the first QUARTER.

It was disappointing how we lost to Florida, but it was expected. The game today was considered a "trap" game, and we played like it. But we won.

Now, I am not trying say that we are a great team. I am not even trying to say we are a good team. But what were our expectations anyway?

Now, having said all that, our coaches need to get the players to step up their game. We need to step forward as a team next week. Our starting QB needs to make a major step, or he needs to be replaced...I understand the coaches' dilemma, but we need a QB who can beat a good team. Thus far, Worley has not shown that ability.

I cannot say that I understand why we could not have played a Freshman today, but maybe it was to preserve the game. That worked, I guess...barely.

Anyway, we definitely need to support our team...Even a good team could lose a lot of games - with our schedule. I don't believe we are going to do as badly as people expect - unless players just start mailing it in. I don't believe that is going to happen, however, so it is up to us to support them. Why would we do otherwise, when what we have is pretty much what we expected?

Most of us support the team. The negative nellies have the loudest voice... but we need to cut them some slack. It has been a very difficult 5 years.
