First of all, the team played extremely hard and my hat goes off to them. They were down 21 in the second half and didn't falter for a split second. They overcame a 21 point deficit, a boatload of turnovers, and players dropping like flies to injuries to tie the game and force overtime. Teams who turn the ball over 7 times usually get blown out, especially if they are going against a top 10 team on the road. Just think about that..... If the Vols had committed a few less turnovers they would have won that game comfortably. The good news is Texas A&M never came close to stopping us. We were our own worst enemies yesterday and our players know it. I'm very confident that the players have learned their lesson and will take much better care of the football from here on out. Go Vols! :machgun: :gun:

Love this team. True to what Butch says this team never blinks. If Tennessee stops shooting themselves in the foot they probably win the last three games convincingly. Turning the ball over 7 times proves to me that any team will have to kill the vols to get them to stop. That said I take nothing away from the team itself but aTm has issues to fix too. Both teams got exposed a little yesterday after all was said and done. I hope too from here on out we take better care of the football.

Bring on the Tide!

I am not going to cosign the "good loss" "best loss" or "happy" category when we post a loss. Any celebration in coming in second place is celebrating being the first loser, just not in to that. Did we and will we learn from this and improve, that is the question in loss? Time will tell, lick wounds, celebrate, whatever we need to do today, cause tomorrow and through next, week it's the one toothed married to mom, sis, and cousin being one and the same the HATED Alabama Crimson Tide. wgwtfa!

7 turnovers. You can talk about the character, resiliency, tenacity, and courage of this team all you want; it all comes back to 7 turnovers. If you cough up the ball that much, you have serious ball security issues. The team that makes the fewest mistakes will win. Yesterday, that was not Tennessee.

The narrative after Va Tech was VT gave us the game with 5 turnovers and we blew them out because we got lucky. We were -5 in TOs with A&M and had a chance to win. We arent perfect but we're good enough to compete with anyone. The future is bright for UT.

Its a safe bet ball security will be seen a lot at practice this week.

No one likes losing but I thought your team showed great heart and resilience yesterday. I along with many Aggies were very impressed with the team, coaching staff and fans. All I know is that if we are fortunate to get to Atlanta I hope we don't have to play Tennessee, your a championship team for sure.

Thank ya Aggie. I'm kinda hoping we do face each other in Atlanta. We just need to give bama back to back beat downs. Ya'll heal up and we'll soften em up for ya.

Classy post. :hi:

Both teams can afford to fix some things on both sides of the ball. Both teams can play a hell of a lot better than yesterday as well. Good luck the rest of the way and stick around

We've had ball security issues all season. If our staff is just now putting a point of emphasis on it, they haven't been doing their job.

This. We've had a ton of luck in fumble recovery in previous games, but we made some terrible decisions in this one, like trying to pick up the ball instead of fall on it.

The fumbles are a mixture of bad luck, poor technique, and great plays by the opponent.
Dobbs getting the ball knocked out as he starts his throw, credit Aggies D. AK after his 55 yard gainer, sloppy technique + good D play...same for Jelly in the red zone. Croom couldn't secure the ball and bounced off his thigh, bad luck. Berry NEVER fumbles but got clocked with a helmet to helmet and the ball came out.

Our boys played their hearts out. Could not been more proud of this team. But the refs did make this game harder. Also, our turnovers didn't help either. CBS also made this game hard to watch. I've never seen a program like CBS hate a team so much like ours. No one gave us a chance I do believe we take care of Bama. TAMU was not good as much as ppl say they were. Our D completely shut them down in the second half. Take away at least 2 of those turn overs in the red zone and we win by 14 without going into OT. Oh well Focus on the next game. Take care of bama we win the east. And whether we Play LSU,TAMU or Bama in the SECCG, I really believe we win out from here.

Thank you SanAntonioAggie. I 've found the majority of Aggie fans to be very classy. Glad you guys are in the SEC. I would love to see a rematch in Atlanta. It was an exciting game with ballers on both sides.

Why in the H$;(& does every team get to hold, tackle, grab and turn our Recievers while ball is in the air?

And we get blasted for arm touches to their recievers!

A&M should have had 4 or 5 critical PI penalties called, cost us 3rd down conversions!

We get flagged every fade route and it costs us dearly!

Is it ref bias or some coaching technique we are missing?
