I'm tired of all the crap getting flung around. Great game all around. We can sit here and complain about refs and such but when you boil it down we left 9 points on the field. It's in the Maxims; #6 Press the kicking game. This is where the breaks are made. Plain and simple we got beat in the one phase of the game that mattered Saturday, special teams.

I agree, we left 9 points on the field which is what the game came down to. It's almost Tuesday morning now though, time to move on to USC jr. We'll have plenty of time to grieve over the Bama loss in the off season.

THIS is the most important thing said in this thread.

Our coaches have to make sure that our players put the heartbreaker behind them and get ready for Darth Visor.

Most here can't seem to do that, but I have faith that CLK an crew can and will focus on what's important.

this coming from a university of spoiled children fan who got beat by Washington

Yes USC did lose to Washington The Trojan nation maned up, put it behind us and moved on with our season., because we realized there was no need to sit around and cry about it like little wimps. Hint..hint..wink..wink

Thats how you build aq dynasty, you blame everyone else or improve yourself.

I do not remember seeing very many questionable calls in that game. All I saw was an arrogant USC team get their butts kicked. It wasn't a matter of a kick here or a penalty there. It was just a beating. So a slightly different scenario.

Please retreat to the land of the Trojans where no price is too high to pay for athletic success Hint...hint...wink...wink

Yeap 16-13 sure was a "beating".

No what you saw was a USC team without their starting Qb, starting WR, starting center and starting safety get blindsided by a team whos head coach and defensive coordinators, were in fact USCs offensive and defensive coordinators last year. I bet coach Sark didn't even watch film...and why would he need to? He knows USC like the back of his hand.

Way to make excuses, wimp.

I kinda like USCwest trolls keeping an eye on their old OC. Welcome aboard... but, since you obviously know little about the SEC, why don't you just observe for a while; you're gonna get carved up if you keep talking smack

And I know plenty about the SEC, my brother played for Florida a few years back. I've been to plenty games and have studied the conference from afar. Your statement "obviously know little about the SEC" is foolish at best.

I have no problem with USC sr. They take care of business and have a great coach. The only thing I have ever said to insult USC is that their 2004 NC should be split because they didn't get to play the best team in the nation that year. (Auburn) Anyway, I am keeping a close eye on the USC/Oregon game this week. Should be a classic.

I lurk but rarely post, so my post count is not high enough to put this in a new thread.

Congratulations, Tennessee, from an Alabama fan. I speak not only of Saturday's game (which was truly a slobber-knocker of a game), but of the behavior of the fans both before and after. I know that every program has it's lunatic fringe, but for the most part I have seen and heard nothing but good old-fashioned gamesmanship from UT this year.

Growing up, our rivalry was sometimes heated, but generally both sides had mutual respect for each other. For whatever reasons, it deteriorated in the last several years towards a smack-talking, bitter, hate-fest. I have seen much movement this year from both sides towards the restoration of the old Tennessee River War that I grew up with, replete with skull-breaking games that create fear in lesser teams and mutual contempt for SEC outsiders. It has been good to see.

Good luck on the remainder of the season. Don't underestimate South Carolina, but I think you can trust Crompton over Garcia (who would've thought that a few weeks ago?). You certainly have the defense to rattle Snead when you play Ole Miss in a few weeks, and I don't see any other rocky patches in your schedule. 8-4 isn't bad for the first year with a new HC, and I'll be pulling for you in your bowl, whichever it may be.

Roll Tide and Go Vols!

I agree, I have said since the game that it should have never come down to that field goal in the first place.

Im sorry but Auburn was not better than USC that year...we blew out a 12-0 Oklahoma team that year 55-19..Auburn did not have the offense to stick with us..

If USC did not convincingly beat Oklahoma, maybe Auburn would have had a chance...but that SC team was incredible.
