I live in Arizona, but there ain’t a person alive around here that don’t know what college I pull for when the season is upon us.
For the record, I bleed orange. I look at a glass of orange juice and I think Tennessee. The orange blossoms out here are prominent in April and I think we’re that much closer to it being ‘...football time in Tennessee.’ A part of me died when Coach Summit fought her last fight, and the tributes of her from friend and opponent espoused all that this college has stood for. At work, you come to my cubicle for a laugh, or to bitch, and there is no question that you are in Vol Country, right down to my raggedy mouse pad.
I support this college. I support its teams. I support these kids. And I support this coach of this program.
I’m Tennessee. I am a Vol. And, this losing will come to an end.
