As a real Tennessee fan, I felt the need to post this after reading all the crap that gets posted on here.

Few want to see CBJ have success more than me, but it’s time to move on ....

Playing #2 proves it to me. This kid shouldn’t be in the QB position period. I know folks get excited because he could run a little bit in HS, but this kid can’t pull the trigger on a pass unless it’s WIDE OPEN. You can’t play QB that way.

Grumor - It would great to get the guy, but it won’t help us. He is a NFL coach, and success at Tennessee would have the NFL calling him.

This teams needs to move on from Butch, and target a coach that will stay with the program long term.

JG is too raw to be playing, but I'm not sure even at this putrid level of play, it's worth playing Dormady over him. They both are not getting any developmental coaching.

If Gruden wanted an NFL job he'd be there. The question is whether he wants a college job and the answer looks like no to that as well. The man likes his 6 million a year salary to work half a season.

It might be time to realize that UT just isn't what it was 20 years ago and will never return to that. What are the chances that 3 soon to be 4 coaches in a row don't know what they are doing. I think a good year every 4-5 years and a new years day bowl is the ceiling that we need to expect

I can't imagine Gruden giving a rip to have to recruit. And the entire offensive system is horrid. I think we have good players (on paper), but they are obviously not coached well and the system they are in does nothing to compliment their skill sets.

This is the most ridiculous post I've ever seen on this board, which is exceedingly sad because D4H is here. Fulmer passed his prime and got complacent. Nobody ever accused him of not knowing what he was doing. Kiffin was a roll the dice splash hire that didn't work out. Hamilton panicked and hired Dooley because nobody would take the job given the timeframe. And Butch looked good coming up through the ranks. If anything, we've had one bad hire who didn't know what he was doing and one coach who's resume exceeded his ability.

I dunno. I've become EXTREMELY choosy over what I open up. He's hurt, but still dressed to play. I'm just answering the question as to who is the better qb. Right now it doesn't matter even if both are healthy. And right now, JG is not prepared to be a starter in the SEC regardless of how bad the rest of the team is.

There are no guarantees for a coach staying long term. You get the very best coach you can.
