My prayer for Sunday vs Mercer

Dear Lord,

I usually do not come to You with sports-related prayers, but I feel it is necessary with the current events for Tennessee.

I pray that You protect me from the inevitable mistake of swapping the displays during Sunday's 11am worship service, that the hymns display on the projector instead of tip-off.

I pray that You stay my hands at the desire to follow up the Chancel Choir's benediction by piping Rocky Top through the speakers for the postlude.

And Lord; should I be so moved to proclaim a loud Hallelujah! or Thank You Jesus! from the sound booth, please let it be at an appropriate part of the sermon.

In betwen all this take the time for a special prayer for the Iowa coaches 14 year old son. I love Pearl more then most and trust me I have never been more proud of a Tennessee basketball program then the Martin led team with the class they showed after the Iowa win.

Don't let the 13 seed fool you they got 5 seniors that has played together for 4 years, they are a team, we cant look past them are we will be watching them play Michigan instead of us, if we bring our A game no contest over before halftime.

Just returned home after watching Mercer beat Duke and UT beat UMAS. Mercer looked good, hung in there and pulled out at the end. Mercer had a LARGE contingent of very vocal fans. It will be a dog fight Sunday. I'll be there.
