Can some of you guys relax and stop making posts that are so much of a pipe dream you can get high from just reading it.

Bill Cowher is Not the answer
Paying Cowher $5 Million or so per year to be our coach is possibly the dumbest thing I've ever read on this forum.


Theres bandwagons for Leach,Butch,Kelly,& still the nonbelievers who think Jon Gruden is coming to UT.

Leach is & has been a 1 trick pony when it comes to coaching.We don't even have a QB who can run that offense without throwing 15+ interceptions next season.

Butch Davis is happy at UNC,leave him be.

Brian Kelly is the hot candidate this year similarly to Greg Schiano from last season.It's best for Kelly to make a move in order for his stock to avoid what happened to Schiano this season in which hes barely even mentioned.

We're going through a similar situation to what happened with Ohio State in 2000 with the dismissal of John Cooper,big names being thrown around and it was solved by hiring a no-name at the time in Jim Tressel.

We are better off going that route,it will help us in the long run.

What??? You mean Bill Cowher or Jon Gruden aren't coming to UT? I'm canceling my tickets!:mad:

Hatcher>Clawson.

Clawson was just an average coach in FCS football who hadn't had any respectable success.

Hatcher has won DII National Championship and built the Valdosta State Football machine.

Of course they're not the same.

Kelly has a DII football pedigree at GVSU but in terms of their stock as coaches they both are at an identical high around this time.

While Schiano has a NFL pedigree and learned under a great like Paterno & a good coach in Butch Davis.

Clawson was coach of the year twice. I don't care what your opinion of Hatcher is. Hamilton isn't a moron. He isn't going to throw his job away by hiring a guy whose resume is a carbon copy of Dave Clawson's.

Go do some research please before you try to compare Clawson and Hatcher because Hatcher is head and feet above a better coach than Clawson.

I'm not saying they should hire Hatcher.

I'm just saying they shouldn't hire Leach,Kelly,Kiffin,Butch,and Cowher.

I know plenty about Chris Hatcher. I wanted him as an OC over Dave Clawson.

Listen to me: Hatcher is not getting hired. Hamilton won't hire him. It would be career suicide. You don't go out and hire a DI-AA coach, watch him have perhaps the worst season in program history and then fire your NC winning coach and go hire another DI-AA coach.

I've lost all optimism about this coaching search.

If we end up with Leach or Kelly I will never forgive Hamilton & the supporters of either coach.

Your post was a plea to clean up VolNation of the stupidness and you're just adding to it.
