My opinion of UT 2009 Season

Being negative does not make you seem intelligent in and of itself.

You came onto a message board to post your expecations for the season against a crowd you knew would be downright hostile towards your statements.

Instead of attempting to back your statements up and make a persuasive argument, you pretty much said... defense = good, offense = bad, kiffin = moron. Maybe these views are perfectly valid, but you didn't give any poster here a reason to believe that.

I can "predict" the sky will be orange and the sun will be blue tomorrow, but I will get laughed out of the room unless I give everyone else a very good reason to believe me.
And that is all you gave anyone, no explanation of why our offensive line will be bad... nor an explanation of why Lane Kiffin will manage to overcome the talent of the rest of the staff in failing miserably.

When you say something contrary, don't be surprised if people call you incorrect... but if they are calling you stupid, there is generally a reason.

I moved out of Huntsville for that very reason, something in the creek water down there makes people start to believe in the 'tide proproganda.. It appears that Vol501 jeans cannot be saved.

Obviously not being able to effectively run the ball will put even more pressure on JC/NS, which is the last thing we need. We’ve got the wideouts……the problem is getting them the ball (sorry GJ). It won’t happen. Last year was awful….this year not much improvement.

The “Ugly”……….LK running the show. No question the coaching staff is impressive, but Kiffin is in for a rude awakening. I'll leave it at that.....too many negative thoughts on Kiffin gets your post removed.

UT 30 WKU 3 1-0 Nice start to the season.
UT 14 UCLA 13 2-0 As bad as Bruins are, it is close
UT 10 UF 45 2-1 Kiffin swallows his foot.
UT 24 Ohio 10 3-1 Not close, just not impressive.
UT 9 AU 10 3-2 AU QB play is awful…almost as bad as us.
UT 7 UGA 17 3-3 We just can't score.
UT 10 UA 21 3-4 We just can't score part 2.
UT 14 USC 20 3-5 SS wraps up his final year
UT 20 Mem 6 4-5 EB scores 2 TD's.
UT 10 Miss 28 4-6 We just can't score part 3. And they can.
UT 17 Vandy 7 5-6 History is still on our side.
UT 10 UK 14 5-7 Ending a bad year with a painful lost.

With that outlook I think you belong in Alabama I live in Alabama also and I have never heard an intelligent thing from a bammer yet! As far as Georgia goes they don't know enough to amount to a hill of beans either. A bunch of us think Alabama deserves you!

Garbage like this is exactly why when I see posts by 5150 about Kiffin or Hat about Pearl, I smirk and move on to the next thread. You simply can't defend your position with any logic. Here... let me hand you a dunce cap, Mr. Toolbox.

You're the one who needs to stop drinking and stop stating your opinions as facts. You talk about not being able to watch practice video to be an expert yet you have nothing to judge Kiffin on yet besides his NFL career. If NFL records were the benchmark for college success, Spurrier, Carroll, Saban, or Davis wouldn't have their current jobs.

No coaches respect Kiffin? Some may not like him or his actions but I'm sure they respect him. Give an example that shows a coach doesn't respect him.

You think the o-line isn't improved. Well, expert, care to give any reasons why you think that?

You know, you might get a better reception if you post stuff like this on the national board. But I mean, what do you expect on a Vol board? Especially one that is extremely pro-Kiffin. Maybe that was the point...

Lane Kiffin can run a offense. The year before McFadden was drafted, Kiffin had one of the most productive offenses in the NFL. The only reason Lane Kiffin was fired is because he went against Al Davis. Kiffin's offense before he got fired, averaged over 350 yards. When Cable got hired, those numbers went down a lot. If Davis gave into Kiffin, the Raiders would probably be playoff contenders.

Yeah Pete don't know what he is talking about either, he just takes his teams to the Rose Bowl every year and pounds whatever sacrificial lamb they play from the Big 10 or Big 12

I could honestly see us winning 9 games this year. All it would take is giving our defense more than a 5 min break between series

How could that be? It isn't like all the coaches were there together. Are you talking about the great Q & A Kiffin held? Give me a break! As usual, Kiffin sounds like a college freshman who's giving his first oral presentation in Speech 101.

Guess you didn't hear how Kiffin got the cold shoulder in Destin. After Slive chewed his ass, he & Layla ended up eating alone while all the other coaches and their wives ate together. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.......not really the behaivor of a professional.
