I don't know what kind of HZ Kiffin will be...I do know this; he had a great recruiting class this year, he's gotten our program talked about more than any other in the land this off season (good and bad), and he's hired an all-star team of asst coaches.

IF he fails, then congratulations, you'll be proven right. I'm sure you'll be more than happy to come on here and spouÞ off all the I told you so's your heart desires...but until that day either jump on board and support the team or go root for Bama with your Bama friends in your Bama county...

Our schedule is even easier this year so how could you say this. Unbelievable that one could "say" they support us and write this. Glad ur in huntsville and not anywhere round here

The “Ugly”……….LK running the show. No question the coaching staff is impressive, but Kiffin is in for a rude awakening. I'll leave it at that.....too many negative thoughts on Kiffin gets your post removed.

UT 30 WKU 3 1-0 Nice start to the season.
UT 14 UCLA 13 2-0 As bad as Bruins are, it is close
UT 10 UF 45 2-1 Kiffin swallows his foot.
UT 24 Ohio 10 3-1 Not close, just not impressive.
UT 9 AU 10 3-2 AU QB play is awful…almost as bad as us.
UT 7 UGA 17 3-3 We just can't score.
UT 10 UA 21 3-4 We just can't score part 2.
UT 14 USC 20 3-5 SS wraps up his final year
UT 20 Mem 6 4-5 EB scores 2 TD's.
UT 10 Miss 28 4-6 We just can't score part 3. And they can.
UT 17 Vandy 7 5-6 History is still on our side.
UT 10 UK 14 5-7 Ending a bad year with a painful lost.

Yeah, Kiffin is a HUGE joke, he just reeled in a top 10 class with a complete staff in place in a little under 3 months or so, and he is working on another top 10, maybe even a top 5-8 class this year...HUGE joke, how did this guy even get hired?

If it is so obvious to "anyone with brains" why can't you explain the basis for your statement?

Oh thats right there is no basis! So far CLK has done everything he said he was going to do. Hire a great staff - Check. Recruit a great first class -Check. Bring energy and publicity to the program - Check.

As for wins, CLK never promised a great first season. He was dealt a horrible hand by the former staff - i.e. lack of depth and horrible qb play. But I think the discipline, which you cant deny - see no arrests - and the energy will help this underskilled team play pretty good. To me, an 8-4 season with this talent in this conference will be a resounding success for CLK.

Just another Fulmer lover that cannot let go of the past. If Fulmer was still coaching then yes this could be our season ahead. Now CLK as brought some fire and enthuisiasim to UT that we have not had since AL Wilson left for the NFL. Just wait until CLK starts winning and the Fulmerites will convert. Just be happy we do not have to watch Fulmer clap his hands anymore!!!

we will be better on offense- seriously, can't be worse

better on special teams- great coach for that

better on D- maybe not as far as rankings, but Monte is the real deal. handle 3rd down better. Coach O will help us get pressure without blitzing- and we will blitz anyway

People are already chalking up losses to UF, Bama, UGA, and Ole Miss.

I will never concede a loss, but we will need a perfect game by us plus a sloppy game by UF to get it done.

Bama- new qb, plus other losses... this game is not a guaranteed loss

UGA- new qb... Cox has experience, but never had the pressure of being "the guy". We catch them at the end of a nasty run of games

Ole Miss- I don't believe the hype. Their strength plays to our strength. They lost to vandy last year. Injuries will hurt thier depth by the time we play them.

Swing games- UCLA, Aub, SC... wins against these guys will give us a great season, because I think will we upset at least one or two of the 4 games listed above.

about Kiffin being a bad coach. I think this is ridiculous. Plus the staff will make up for his shortcomings.

He is a good playcaller, and he knows how to establish the run (see raiders)

Anybody can jump on here and make predictions, there are some on here that say we win 10 games. I don't agree with them either.

You're basing his credentials from Oakland? Working for Al Davis......I guarantee he would have won tons more with Oakland had Al been dead. Truth is, Oakland will never win as long as this goon (AL) is there.

That whole post was nothing we havent heard 1000000000000000 times already this year. Heres the reality... Saben went 7-6 his first season at alabama, Al Davis has fired 50 coaches since he has been the owner, he will continue to fire new coaches every year. His new quote is "Just cant win, baby."There are over 10 coaches who didnt make in the nfl but had success in college. Dont compare Tennessee to Auburn. They had one good season and thought they became a powerhouse. You probably are a season ticket holder but cant name 10 players on the team.

If you showed you had a clue about our offensive line.

Do you know why they were bad last year? Have you talked to any of them? Have you read what they have said? Do you know what type of offense Clawson ran? Do you understand what was required of the OL last year?

Do you know what type of coaching the Oline is getting now? Do you know what kind of scheme Kiffin and Cregg are using?

The answer to all of the above questions is no. On this board you have lots of stupid posts, I think yours takes the cake. If you truly want to learn more about football I would be happy to educate you.

The man recognized his scheme had problems. The O line was asked to stunt and shift and move. They were hesitant. A moments hesitation not knowing what to do will KILL an offensive line. Now they just look up and hit the person in front of them. Clawson went from too complex to trying to simplify. Now Cregg is starting very simple especially with the OL, and they can add stuff maybe later.

The OL will be the most improved part of this team and I hope you will come back and comment after that statement is proven.

Perhaps you will start reading more before you post.

Also, can you doubt that he has put together the best coaching staff in the NCAA. Fulmer would have never grabbed Bryce Brown, Nuke, OR Teague.

Had we ran more last year, even with Clawson's scheme, we go 7-5 (beating UCLA and Wyoming; UT had 36 passing attempts v. wyoming) and maybe 8-4 by beating auburn. I think this team is improved from a talent standpoint, plus has a chip on their shoulder from last year, plus is stoked b/c of the new coaching staff. The OP says we have the same record? Please. Also I think we have a great chance of beating UGA this year, they don't do anything fancy on offense and I think Monte and the boys will eat their QB alive. Neyland will be rocking that day

dude your freakin stupid to think that this team will be 5-7.Someone ban this troll.Dude Kiffin was the head coach of the Oakland Raiders, until Al Davis leaves they are not going to be good. You need to think of these things before you post such a stupid thread like this one. Now like someone said on here you need to leave your vol gear outside throw away your vol card because you not a VOL fan. Im out.

the OP is a little bit fanatic but 5-7 isn't a "ridiculous" prediction in my opinion. I'm going to be happy with anything MORE than 6 wins, because that means we didn't lose any games we weren't supposed to lose. It's very possible we could see 5-7 with our QBs being so bad.
