you call NC a basketball school? They are a joke in basketball. It took all they had to beat UK on their home floor over the weekend. Play that game in March, and they won't because NC will be hoop n it up in the NIT again, and Ky wins by 30. NC is not a football school. No longer the force it once was in basketball.

NC is pathetic. And they cheat.
How else do you get Marvin Austin? You cheat. Simple as that.

I am actually a student at UNC right now, but I was born and raised a Tennessee fan. I thought this letter was super funny, and I am actually going to be pulling for Tennessee in this game. But I can definitely tell you that UNC fans are nothing like Tennessee fans. I went to a number of Tennessee games growing up, and UNC games don't even compare. The crowd is never really into the game at all. This is certainly not a football school.

"If Marvin Austin, Quinn and Greg Little didn't break the rules we would've won the ACC, we would be so good". STFU... I hate how you think you are the best team in the state when you haven't beaten NC State in 4 years. I hate how you constantly throw around the "The Carolina Way" as a way to justify your arrogance and superiority complex towards just about every other public institution in the country, yet these past couple of months have really shown how the "The Carolina Way" really works. I'm sure Butch was clueless about everything that was going on in w/in the program. Has there ever been a program that has cheated and achieved less than UNC? I hate that even though you got busted for cheating, you constantly accuse the SEC of being Elite because we cheat. Could you guys really be more envious?

However, I do love...That when I ask a Tarheel fan "Who has won an ACC Football Championship more recently, Duke or UNC"? I usually get the finger or a simple "F@#$ You". Some of my best friends attended UNC and are big time UNC fans and we get along because we have a great deal of respect for one another, but I have been waiting for this for a very long time and was crushed when we cancelled the series. I cannot wait to be in Nashville, and I cannot wait to see our possibly worst team in 30 years beat one of their best in a generation. GO VOLS!!! I hope we get:loco:!

I live in Apex but grew up in Knoxville and my family is divided between UT/UNC. My Dad's side is all UNC and my Mom's is all UT.

I can't wait to be able to talk trash after all the junk my Dad's family talked about the buyout. Carolina wishes that they could be like UT in football and they can't stand that they have been worse in basketball the last 2 years.

I would have to take your dad's side on that one. I would have to say 100% of Volnation was embarrassed that we let having to play a patsy opponent and money get in the way of a having a good football game. I will never think of Mike Hamilton in the same way as I did before that greedy, cowardice move.

On the other hand, I want to beat the tar out of NC.

I wasn't embarassed at all. I think it was a smart move and will be a positive in the long run. We still get to have the matchup with UNC and get to put an easy W on a brutal schedule for next year.

All will be forgotten if dropping that game leads to UT having a better bowl game next year and the perception of a more successful season.

As a North Carolina high school graduate and current University of Tennessee student...I fully support this message!

Nothing was more fun than the year the Lady Vols beat North Carolina and went on to win the NC then my junior year when I went to classes with everyone ticked after all it is a "basketball school" and the girls lost. LOL I had fun that day.

I'm looking forward to the MCB and another Vol win with relish

Dear UNC,
I also hate you, but you've known this for a while. I grew up in eastern NC going to State and ECU games every Saturday. Still, I couldn't avoid your outrageously arrogant/entitled fans at school and that sucked. When my dad broke the news to me that we were moving to Maryville, TN (I was almost 17), I wasn't too happy. To make me feel better, I still remember that he joked, "at least you won't have to be around those annoying North Carolina fans anymore!" It was a joke, but I recall finding true comfort in that sentence.
I've waited a long time for this game, and can't wait to see my Vols embarrass your football team. I thought you guys were supposed to win the ACC this year. That's what all your fans were saying on WFNZ radio. Funny how your team had high hopes for the season, and ours had expectations that were almost lower than ever, but we are still headed to the same spot. I'm going to enjoy this!

Their stadium is often referred to as "The Aluminum Jungle" due to all the empty seats on Saturdays. Even,given the slight chance, when they are playing a meaningful ACC football game at home, their fans will choose to go to a pre-season basketball scrimmage.

They are lame fans, and some are calling for Roy Williams, who has won 2 national championships, to be fired because of a slow start.
