Here is my humble and uneducated but Vol Loving opinion.

1.) Poole is not the answer to our running game. He just doesn't have the speed or quickness to be a great back. But there is no runningback out there that could run behind this line. I love these guys and believe our line can be very very good, but they are just not aggressive in the run blocking department.

2.) we are in big trouble without Justin which am sure everyone already knows. Every team from here on out will double team Darick and make someone else step up. We have the talent ( Dallas, Arnett, Milton, Zach), someone just needs to step up.

3.) Our defense played great for the positions they were put in. With that said, we are wayyyy to slow. A.J Johnson is a middle linebacker and just doesn't have the speed to play on the outside, and our Db's aren't physical enough to get off the blocks and make the plays. Also we can't get enough pressure to get turnovers.

4.) our special teams are horrible. Enough said.

With that said I love this team and think we have a great QB and alot of potential on the rest of the team, but that potential needs to start showing up. this is not a " the sky is falling" thread, its just my opinion. Please discuss or disagree, And Go Vols, and Go to HE.. Gators.

Your # 4 does not begin to describe our kicking game. Abyssmal might get closer. I miss Fuad.

I agree they made us look slow on defense. Rainey and Demps will make most defenses look slow. I thought they might go with more db's, but it looked like 3 linebackers most of the night. Rainey and Demps on linebackers is a bad deal.

And where in the hell, excuse the language, please don't ban me its appropriate, is Rajion Neal. We need his speed and quickness.

Everybody needs to calm down. I'm upset about the loss, but I'm proud of our guys. They played until the very end. Granted they got rattled early, but we all have days like that where nothing goes right, our nerves get the best of us, and we fall apart. I was proud of how they fought through it. At least they didn't give up.

That said, we are a long way from having the athletes we need to really be a great program. I can remember when I was a kid (in the 80's) asking my dad if UT had ever been ranked. We survived that, so I think we'll come through this too.

Agreed. I thought we would see more 4-2-5

Any other colquitts out there? Maybe another Reviez kid? We need special teams like no other, and we need people that can be physical and wrap up on defense, and we need the line to grow a pair and start hitting someone! Love this team, but they need to play like college athletes, this isn't highschool anymore..

Justin Hunter was our only big playmaker. I don't see anyone else who can break it. Please disagree with me.

Actually Special teams coverage did alright, i think you meant our kicker is horrendous

Nope I mean't what I said, our special teams is horrible. The blocking sucks, the kicking, sucks, the returning, sucks, and our coverage is decent. Sucks + Sucks + Sucks + decent = Horrible.

We need to sign a kicker in every class and make the starter rewin his position every year. Same with punter. There is no reason to miss chipshot kicks. It's the most basic of plays in football. I knew when we lined up for that first one it was not going in. Left handed people can't write straight, what makes us think they can kick straight.

UF's return men were catching the ball on the 10 and Da'Rick was catching behind the goal post.

Poole would be a really good running back behind a decent offensive line. Unfortunately we don't have a decent offensive line. We have a pathetic one.

As for Hunter, yes we are going to hurt without him. We have limited talent and speed as it is.

Wow talk about 180 degrees! This morning everything on this board was about the Vols can beat anyone and everyone. We knew this team is still rebuilding. Everyone take a step away from the ledge and take a deep breath!
