I've been dating my girlfriend for about 2 1/2 years and she absolutely can't stand football. We came across some free S Car and Fl tickets a couple years ago and went to the game up in Columbia; she just laid down on the bleachers and played tetris on her cell phone for practically the whole game. She's orginally from Switzerland and was raised around "futball" not FOOTBALL; she's not a soccer fan either or any sport for that matter. When I want to go watch a game with the fellas, she does't contest at all. She doesn't care when I travel for games either. But when I'm at sporting events and I see guys with their gals, I get a little jealous. Should I drop that sort of jealous feeling and be lucky that she doesn't want anything to do with my sporting addiction? Or should I try a little harder to get her involved. She's a FOX and looks really good when she wears orange :) ...especially when she wears the UT hat that she stole from yours truly. Fellas, I need some opinions.

We need pics to provide any legitimate perspectives. This is a facts-based board. :)

My wife could care less too. Sounds like you have a good one since she doesn't mind you going on road trips with the guys. I think I would keep her, sports fan or not.

I admit, it is nice seeing guys with their woman at the games and the female having a good time.

Consider yourself a lucky man. As long as she doesn't object to you going to games, you've got it made.

It really comes down to tradeoffs. Going to game with the guys only can be a lot of fun.

The real tiebreaker, imo... as long as she doesn't expect you to go shopping for shoes with her, you're fine. :hi:

Consider yourself lucky. I sense you're a young man. Someday a ballgame might be your only respite. Enjoy it!

Do you do crap with her that you really, really don't like because she enjoys it? If yes, dump her.

No, she's pretty good with not asking me to do stuff like going shopping or watching chick flicks or the gilmore girls.

I say keep her.

I have the same problem except I'm the female and my hubby could care less about football.:p......I'm the sports fanatic in this house and that's fine with me.

Dude... There will be a time when you wish you had 1 thing that was "your thing" and you could spend the rest of your time anticipating what a good time it will be. Oh, wait... seems you already have that. CHERISH IT:)

My wife was born and raised in Greenbrier, TN. She loves UT football. But she won't watch a game with me, after last year. I yelled too much. So maybe you have it lucky!

My gal grew up a longhorn fan, but was easily and quickly transformed into a Vol fan, I love her
