Ok, I know there are tons of threads, even being merged, about officiating at the Bama game. I have yet to see anyone mention any Pass Interference no calls on Bama's D. Really?? I saw at least 3-4 of 'em. Watch again.

Video Player

Bad officiating, no doubt. The Bama trolls keep defending the officials by saying that we deserved all 8 penalties. What about all ONE that they got.... Whatever. They had the game handed to them by the officials, and Rogan, Crompton, Moore, Jones, and co. nearly took it away.

The loss is still on Lincoln. I don't care what anyone says. The football should be WAY higher than 5-6 ft when crossing the line of scrimmage, especially on a easy 44-yarder.

With a real kicker, we win. Period. The End.

Way past time to move on...I'm focused on Spurrier and the Gas Pumpers.

Welcome to the department of redundancy department.

I'm sorry, I hadn't seen anyone mention Pass Interference no-calls. Please direct me to this thread, as I would like to read other's opinions.

If we weren't supposed to/allowed to share the same opinion on anything, how many threads would we have to read? 3 or 4?

Easy 44 yarder, get real, the guy was injured. He already had one blocked!

44 yards is nothing for a REAL kicker. Did you read my post? I'm pretty sure Mike Palardy, Jeff Hall, or Leigh Tiffin could kick one that long(high enough) with their non-dominant leg.

IMO, your theory is solid. Lincoln is a weak link. But the left guard did not help the situation either. With that being said, it is time to move on. There is nothing that can be done to change what happend.

Lincoln played with an injured leg. I'm not a big fan of his but he hasn't been bad in that range. Cut him a little slack.

There seems to be some confusion as to how aware CLK was of the injury or its severity... IMO, UT should have tried to get closer or score the TD. I know CLK played it by the book... but you throw the book out when your kicker is gimpy.

DMichael...did u watch the same game I did??? Pass interference?? How bout Julio in the endzone and more so, first quarter tackle 3 yds outa bounds!!!

It's football in the SEC...and by the way, all over the net, pic of game clock on ZERO and Cody WITH his helment on.

Wake up and smell the roses...Y'all lost so get over it. Always next yr :clapping:

I think Georgia Tech just scored another touchdown.

And lastly, If your'e going to talk smack, at least use your own team....

In fairness, you come as a fan of a team that hasnt played the team represented of this board in 29 years.

So its kinda limited to Pac-Ten smack vs SEC smack.

I mean we could always resort to culture smack talk.

Your time zone sucks!

I didn't read every post but i did stay at a holiday inn express last night. Please weigh in Clemson becouse I watched your replay against Miami and I think it helps prove my point. Clemson had the ball at about the same spot as UT with about the same amount of time. So the ball was on about the 35 to 40 with 45 to 50 seconds left. They complete a short pass picking up 12, run and pick up 6 or 7, and then kick a short field goal and go on to win. With an injured leg, one short, one blocked, I will always believe that you need to try to advance the ball with two quick pass plays and leave yourself, your line, your kicker with a higher percetage attempt.

Clemson, the ball was still live even though time had expired and the play was still live with Cody's helmet off.
It was also kind of the ref to point out the live ball to the Alabama players.

Amen! This game shouldnt have come down to depending on the kicker in the first place. It seems that no matter what, there are some people that want to point the finger and blame a single player for a total loss. Before it was JC, now, its DL....who's next to take the blame? Come on, its a TEAM.
