I saw a defense that was making instant decisions

Many were wrong but there was not second guessing

I've heard Sal say it many times > sacrificing the body

Well hell that's the way to play >>>> all out >>> and really Sal is not asking them to hurt themselves >>>>> he is just explaining how to give it all with focus....

The bust were big busts because they made the decision and went all out... The interceptions were there because we they went all out...

Timid this defense will not be

Sal plays to win and win he will

Weren't you questioning Dooley's hire of Sal just a few weeks ago?

Really like Sal as our DC. He has these guys tackling. Not like last year. You can see the difference. When these kids learn more about this 3-4 D look out. You never know where he is bringing the pressure.

Yes I was.

It was based on how he came across on interviews, his son playing for bama, and him being an old position coach

I was wrong

But I still can't see him calling plays against his son

I have a feeling recruits are going to want to play for this guy after they see how much these guys love playing for him throughout the season.

One good thing about the high-risk/high-reward approach....

No more 15 play drives wearing down our D in the 2nd half. Bama, LSU, and SC ran it and dared us to do anything about it.

His son doesnt play offense he plays defense, so it can reasonably be assumed no play that sal calls will be against vinny.

So you are predicting him to throw the game?

I love the aggressiveness. Make the game fun to watch. As the season goes on there will be less blown coverages.

If you live by the blitz, you will die by the blitz.

We might give up some big plays, but I like the aggressiveness. This is year one in the system too.

Wait until the guys aren't thinking too much and will just know what they're supposed to do.

When dealing with his sons, I would guess Sal threw out the kid gloves long long ago.

Even if one of his sons QB'd for bama, Sal would try to knock his duck into the dirt.

He doesn't strike me as a guy that would raise a couple of pansies. JMO

The best part about that in the sec is there aren't many excellent QB's that can pick a well executed blitz apart. We have one of the few that can leaving even less. Main issue is containment on the couple of fairly mobile QB's out there.
