Let me start just by saying that some of you may care to read this and enjoy it and some of you may not care to read it, but I wanted to share.

We left out @ 5AM from Madison, Georgia on Thursday morning en route to Jacksonville. The drive was smooth and we arrived at the Sheraton in Jacksonville around 11AM. We checked in, hit the room for a nap and headed out to the landing to enjoy the pep rally. All that orange made me really see how great this fan base is. I got choked up at the pep rally seeing that unison and hearing everyone sing Rocky Top as loud as they possibly could, it was truly a great evening.

The next step that evening was heading out to Jacksonville Beach and we just decided to take it easy and headed to Adventure Landing and played a favorite childhood pastime, miniature golf. The course was fun and then we headed inside and tried our luck at a few arcade games. We earned over 200 tickets and I handed em off to a little vol fan that was in there and in return I got a high five and a go Vols along with a I'll see you @ the game tomorrow.

We woke up early Friday and headed down to Everbank Field and enjoyed the Budweiser Tailgate Party, getting to see Dale Jr. and Regan Smith along with probably the most epic Vol Walk ever.

Of course, everyone knows, the game was incredible. The stadium was a little nicer than I expected.

I just wanted to share this experience Guys and Gals and Go Big Orange!!!!

My husband and I are in Atlanta, but his whole family lives in Madison/Newborn. We spent New Year's there, but I made sure we made it home in time for the game. So jealous of your trip! Glad you were able to go and hope you made it home safely! Go Vols!

It's always a great experience to go to a meaningful college football game. Sounds like you all had a great time. We deserved this with all of the turmoil since 2009.

I had a fantastic time! Leaving ponta vedra soon. My highlights were greeting the players at the marriott before they departed for the game, the vol walk, the Budweiser tailgate, the epic beat down given to Iowa and the Gatorade bath for Butch and EB chant

"The landings" weak....
It was OK. What was funny was that the bands that were playing there pretty much ignored the Hawkeye fans.. not in a rude way, but since there was far more orange in the crowd, they got a lot more applause and hoots when they talked about the Big Orange and of course RockyTop.... I rather enjoyed that area.

Would anyone who has an extra ticket stub left from the game being willing to send it to me? I try to keep tickets from all the games I attend and for whatever reason I only got a cheap TicketMaster ticket when I went through the TaxSlayer site, it doesn't even have the team names, just TBA vs TBA. If so, please message me, I'd appreciate it.

(Aside from the current cluster of a drive home) We had an awesome trip. The hotel was great, the game was all we could have hoped for (including our claimed front row of the party deck seats), dinner was fantastic, and we were treated well all-around. Everywhere we went, Orange was abundant.

Wish I could help you. I have stub from every UTFB I've EVER ATTENDED....starting with the 1966 Gator Bowl! ...48 years later I went again!!

Jacksonville paper says Vol fans outnumbered Hawkeyes 25-1. Way to turn out Vol Nation...

It was awesome seeing all that orange! It was worth every penny I spent to take all three of our kids to their first game!!!

Lots of orange remained today at Atlantic Beach. The business owners here have seemed really appreciative of the fan base. A seafood truck driver even rolled down his window to tell us how much they appreciated so many of us coming down (and bringing the $$$). :)

Every person we encountered was as nice as they could be. Hotel was all Vol, so was Applebees (yeah, we went there, too convenient not to). Vols, Hawkeyes, Jax residents that just wanted to chat. Couldn't have been more fun as far as the people go.
